The Chupitos Bar Review

Few friday nights ago, I was out for dinner as usual at my favourite ramen place, Keisuke Tonkotsu Four Seaons, the outlet at Bugis, with my usuals, winter ramen with ajitsuke tamago.

After which, we headed out to this place at Clarke Quay, Chupitos Bar, located near… I don’t know where (I know I am such a big sotong-head…I shall dig out the address…) ok, here’s the address: #01-05, Clarke Quay, 3B River Valley Road, The Chupitos Bar.

When the waitress handed out the menu to me, I was amazed by the list of and choices of shots available. There were like a huge range of variety! Some were extremely cool, like Captain America, Cotton Candy and of course there are those, specially catered to those naughty ones out there like Blowjob and Boobjob where they will serve in something very interesting (*wink*).

Look at the menu! That’s just part of it!

Crouching Tiger! I can’t remember the taste xD

My memory is getting from bad to worst, I can’t recall the name of this pair of shots, my bad!

Left: Scooby Snack! Attempting to be Scooby doo for the night, HAHA~ It kind of taste yummy but weird at the same time.

Right: Tequila Slammer, I think. The one that tasted so bad and the alcohol taste was absolutely strong!

Of course, I did tried their SIGNATURE- Paddle Pop Shots! (Pardon me, I was too excited over that shot that I didn’t snap any photos!) Taste wise, it was absolutely delicious, exactly the remake of paddle-pop ice-cream with a slight hint of alcohol taste but I doubt you could taste it anyway. It was sweet and milky and one shot is definitely not enough if you love paddle-pop ice-cream!

You should definitely, head there to try out their shots, or at least, try the paddle-pop shots, you’ll probably fall in love with it like how I am right now. Hahaha!

Unload from my thoughts: Princess

Princess, don’t everyone longed to own a life of a modern day princess?

Modern day princess, born in a silver spoon family, (maybe gold or maybe bronze, I don’t know) from the day you were born, you have been well-fed, well-clothed and doted to bits. Whatever you want, you will get. (Be it from toys to food to clothes to hobbies/ activities/ classes, nothing is out of your rich.)

Growing up, easy as it seems, love showers from family, encouragement in education. Tonnes of friends and capable of hanging out with friends after school, pocket money was never an issue. Of course, being a princess, you’ll are just filled with luck, boys crowd over you and you’ll have the best one amongst them all.

You’ll probably never have to slave, never have to experience working under stressful condition over the sake of money. Work would just probably seems fun for you, to work with friends or either that, to kill time, salary was never an issue to you and money was just an endless supply.

Modern day princess, you’ll have the time, the capability and the ability to pursue what you want in life because money have already path the way for any dreams that you possess. It’s only a matter of yes or no. Easy as it seems.

And of course, here’s a little poor pauper, struggling to make ends meet. Down in luck, and enduring all the shit that life has to offer. She is probably like a weed amongst the well-potted plant trying all her best to fight for the energy and the opportunity to survive and thrive.

Let me put it simply, life sucks and God is unfair. Some people are just plain lucky and some people aren’t. There are those struggling to make life meet, some even worst, struggling to survive and while there are those enjoying what life has to offer, with everything path for them. All those, fighting to make ends meet, I believe, they are the ones who are called real fighters, with real determination, persistence and perseverance, and those that succeed are ones, I adore, and someone whom I am able to, pick up a life lesson learning point from.

(I’m probably blabbering nonsense again, things that doesn’t make sense. I guess you should just skip this post and if you do read it, wow you’re amazing!)

Changes are evidence of growth

Ever since then my life has changed completely, from being the happiness girl to a nobody, and now, after graduating from polytechnic and attaining my Hospitality and Tourism Diploma, I am nowhere to go. With a pathetic GPA 2.31, I am not eligible to apply for any scholarship and the only option is either to take up a loan from the bank to continue studies or head to the working society and save up.

(Don’t ask me about my parents, since grandma’s departure, our relation were like landlords and tenants,we don’t speak and neither do they provide me anything beside an empty roof to live in, without any amenities.)

Although I am currently working a temporary job in Gallery Hotel Singapore, the hotel is bound for closing on the Nov 15th due to IHG Group buying over the locally owned hotel property. The future of Gallery Hotel Singapore will be renamed as Intercontinental @ Clarke Quay, 5 star luxury boutique hotel (Subjected to change). Filled with anticipation, as being the first few to see the new mock-up room, I totally can’t wait for the new hotel to reopen. Enough said, soon, I will be jobless again. How pathetic.

Of course I attempted to head back to Regent to work and I could no longer adapt and accept the culture and the management of the Banquet Department as the managers and the part timers were like slaves and masters unlike Gallery Hotel, probably because the hotel is soon to close and everyone will take on a separate path, everyone seems to be slightly closer with one another.

I guess things change and people change and so did I change, in my appearance! From long hair to really short hair…mainly because of owning less time, I do not have the luxury to manage my hair, comb them, and blow dry them when they are wet after shower. Therefore, I just had to snip them off so that I could have more sleep. I do miss my long hair though.

As for relationship wise, things get kind of complex though. At work, there are people who attempt to get my number in hope of asking me out for a dinner or a date, but one of the rule I set for myself is never to date someone from workplace because things might just get way to complicated and if anything do goes wrong, I’ll lose my rice bowl. Definitely, I have been out to dates with a couple of guys here and there but somehow things just didn’t work out. Either my behaviours was to childish and kiddy for them to handle or that my mindset was probably just to mature and independent to accept. (I shall update this on another separate post soon.)

I guess that’s it for today and I am really tired from work, gotta head to be and crash soon, I do hope that this is enough updates to keep you inform of my happenings since I haven’t been posting recently, but you could always follow me on my instagram @cryobaby for my photo updates of my life.
