Bellabox (July Edition)

As you girls would have known, the cosmetic samples packed in a box and delivered right to your doorstep have been pretty popular recently, and Bellabox had aroused my curiousity…so, I’ve decided to take up a 3months subscription, with the first month June edition of Bellabox at $9.95 while on normal days, it will be at $19.95.

The thing about Bellabox is that these subscription boxes are delivered by Ta-q-Bin where they deliver right to your doorstep which can be convenient for some and non-convenient for some as these delivery timings are usually irregular despite the fact that you have chosen your preferred delivery time frame. Still, I managed to receive my Bellabox eventually.

There’s this month, July’s Bellabox!

bb2

Unboxing Bellabox!

This is the best part of receiving Bellabox because you won’t know what you would be receiving this month as each Bellabox version is different and you could receive items that are slightly different from what is as advertised. This could be something bad if the items that are advertised caught your eye and they aren’t included in the Bellabox, you’ve received. This was what happened when I received this month’s…

bb3

“La Petite Parisienne”– The theme for this month’s box.

Here’s what I received for this month!

I was kind of disappointed that I didn’t get to receive the lipstick and the eye pencil that was advertised!

p1060891_副本

A total of 8 samples which my box include mainly of masks and L’oreal Sulphate-Free Shampoo and Conditioner. Since they are in sample size the shampoo and conditioner would come in handy to be packed in my luggage at the end of my this month for travelling!

p1060893_副本

Nina Ricci perfume in sample size, what a tiny weeny sample of 5ml of perfume!

I have yet to try these samples as I’m kind of lazy to do reviews but I shall start soon before the next month Bellabox comes in and I would end up with too many reviews to be done…still, I guess I would cancel the subscription at the end of August because I’m kind of disappointed that the items in my Bellabox are slightly different from what the beauty bloggers receive as they seemed to be receiving better items than me. This did not just happen to me but to several people I have known as well. Oh wells x

Dita Von Teese Inspired!

I have been very into Burlesque moves lately ever since watching the movie- Burlesque with the gorgeous Christina Aguilera when she was skinny.

Image

Now, I’ve got this huge admiration with Dita Von Teese. She’s a burlesque dancer, she’s beautiful, gorgeous and a very amazing woman, I have to say. I love her burlesque moves especially, it’s fascinating!

Anyway, I got bored and attempted to re-create the burlesque dancers make-up look because their eyes looks gorgeous and those red lips, really melts me so much that I couldn’t stop myself from loving it.

ImageSo here’s the geeky looking me with my fake specs before makeup!

Image ImageSome collages that I did!

Image

Some awkward and weird pose that I did! xD

Image

My eyes sure look big enough!

Pretending to be cute hehehe! ^^

The bad girl look! I’m so loving this one!

 Ending it off with a sweet girl smile!

I think prefer to smile! Haha~

So what do you all think of my look?

How is the naughty and sultry burlesque look?

The Cool and Awesome Nail Art!

I’ve been bored during the holidays so meanwhile, to kill time, I decided to do some manicure using scotch tape!

It’s so simple and so cool!

Of course, excluding the time spent on doing it, the end results is just WOW!

ImageThis is my left hand! Look at all the different designs on my nails! I love the ones on my thumb and pinkie!

Image

This is my right hand! Look at the heart shape on my thumb! SO CUTE!

Well, it’s pretty easy to learn how to do it, all you need is lots of plenty time and scotch tape or any sticky tape that you have and scissors!

Just paint the base layer first, for me I painted my base glittery black! After which when the base coat is dried, just stick the scotch tape on your nail and paint the non-covered part with another colour of your choice! For me I had it painted blue!

When your nail is just dried, just remember to seal it off with a top coat! VOILA you’ve got beautiful nails like mine! Hehe 😀

A New Haircut, Perhaps?

I’m so sick of my mid length hair that is growing way too slowly and I realized that as my hair grew longer, I lose more hair which didn’t happen to me back then until I started hair-dye and 4 months of weekly hair-gelling for school (I’ve stop the hair-gelling already, but my hair keeps on dropping!).

Perhaps I should snip off my hair again? I don’t know, I really want a nice long hair but it’s too unhealthy and it keeps on dropping which really worries me because I’m afraid of the widening of hairline.

Image

This is my current length of my hair and because I often tie my hair in a bun at home, my hair has become relatively wavy and I have done some inner highlights at the salon months ago and I really love them because the copper blonde looks really good! If I were to cut my hair, my inner highlights will be gone as well. 😦

Also, my fringe are slightly overgrown and out of shape that I have to resort to pinning them up occasionally

I dunno if I should cut my hair, and if I should, what sort of hairstyles would suit my face? My face seems to be very long but it can’t be considered to have that “oblong” face shape because I don’t have really sharp jaws and neither does my face fall into the “oval” face shape category. This really gives me a headache on which hairstyles or haircuts would actually suit my face the best.

Anyway, I have found some decent hairstyles and cuts that I really like which makes me kind of indecisive…

Image

This one has a really nice and tidy shape where the length of the hair meets the jaw and gives it some slight contours and the bangs really do make the face look slightly smaller.

Image

This one is a slightly longer version of the hairstyle above.

Image

This one is a very simple shoulder length hairstyle with over-grown bangs, I’m in favour of the length but not the bangs because it would really irritate my eyes though…

Image

This one has side fringe and it sure looks good too!

I really can’t decide what to do with my hair, seriously. Everyone says that I look weird with layered bangs, look cute with bangs, look pretty with side fringe and I have no idea what should I decide on…

Damn, deciding on a haircut is so troublesome!

The hottest lip color this season!

IT’S REDDD!!!

Image

Whether is it, chilli red, bright red, dark red, maroon or wine red, basically all shades of red makes the cut this season except pinkish red!

The colour red is the representation of passion and intensity. And well, it’s the colour that will suit many skin types whether you are dark, tanned or fair.

Most importantly, it will bring you the radiance on your face and will be so suitable for any occasion especially red carpets, important dates and dinners!

ImageMy favourite singer, Taylor Swift wearing red lip colour!

She’s always been carrying this sweet and girly look with the girly vibe in her and usually her lip colours were pink or neutral shades like nudes. This time, you could really see her wearing red on her lips because RED is the hottest lip color this season!

A deep shade of red which is my favourite!!!

Silkygirl & Maybelline Lipsticks Review!

Ok, so maybe reds have been a very popular colour this season for 2013, but nonetheless, I’ve been overly obsessed with nude lips!!!

I think that nude lips look so much sexier than red although I know that red is more of a turn on…

Still, I couldn’t stop my urge and got myself 2 new nude coloured lipsticks!

So, first, I’lll be reviewing the Maybelline WaterShine Diamond Lipstick #301!

Maybelline HyperCurl Volum’ Express Waterproof Mascara Review!

I have always loved  Maybelline Mascara for its affordability and it’s dry formula! So here I have today is the Maybelline HyperCurl Volum’ Express Waterproof Mascara in blackest black!

I know the name of this mascara is so so so so so LONG! Still from the name you would know that it is suppose to be:

  • Waterproof!
  • Gives you volume!
  • And curls!
  • Very black lashes!

Image

The mascara in it’s wrapper!

I got this from Guardian drugstore in Malaysia, my city, Kota Tinggi!

Image

Really nice and pretty gorgeous container that SHINES!

Image

Just opened the mascara! Look at the brush!

It’s curved!!!

Image

Close up of the brush!

Do you know that curved brushes are better than straight ones because they are more convenient and easier for application? It also helps in evening out of your eyelashes during application! This means PLUS POINTS FOR THE LASHES!

Bottom down shot of my eyes and lashes!

Can you spot the difference between my eyes?

So, asian eyes have been known for having sparse eyelashes as compared to caucasian’s eyes where they are blesses with thick eyelashes…SO ENVIOUS!

Still, I’ve decided to get a volumizing mascara so that my eyelashes will not look pathetically sparse and short! And the results have shown! The left eye from the above picture is without applying Maybelline HyperCurl and the right is after application! Great difference right?!

I’m so loving the new mascara despite it causing my eyelashes to clump slightly…Anyway I love it!

What do you girls think?

Centre Parted Hairstyles!

Recently, there has been an increasing number of centre parting hairstyles sighted around, especially in school, many girls have their sweep side bangs to centre parting…

Then, I started to realise that it’s this season’s hairstyle trend to have centre parted hair,let down, tied up and even half clipped!

Now, check out those pretty centre parted hairstyles!

And so,

I decided to try it on myself…

Creepy Doll-Inspired Halloween Look!

Halloween is in round the corner on the 31 October, and the shops are filled with orange stuffs for Halloween.

Everyone’s busy doing their makeup and preparation for halloween events like trick-n-treat , spooky events and stuffs.

And so, just a few days back, I did my own Halloween look and was inspired by creepy doll that’s actually left abandoned by its owner in the rubbish chute…

Now, it has come back to life to haunt it’s owner…

Get ready for more spooky photos coming along your way…

BEWARE~

“Would you like a creep kiss from me?”-Creepy Doll

Look at how pathetic I’ve become…

I hate the light!~

Get the light away from me~

“Do I still look pretty like I used to?”-Creepy Doll

Where have you been?

I’ve spot you!

And you’re doomed!

……..

So, perhaps you would be interested in how I got this creepy, horrible and ugly look. Well, I actually made use of mainly black eyeliner, black and white eyeshadow, and some foundation.

It’s just that simple, and you could create your own exclusive halloween look with just some creativity!

Happy Halloween Peeps! BOOOO!~

Due to the recent fixation of new brackets on my front teeth, my lips starts to feel dry and chappy because of the abrasion of my lips and the metal tip.

And, it also just so happens that I lost my Lip Ice Grape, where I left my lip balm in my work uniform! Oh God!

So, I’ve decided that it’s time to get myself a new lip balm, and still, I prefer Lip Ice among the other brands…

ImageLip Ice Sheer Colour in Strawberry!

Image

Image

 Information on the back…

Image

My lip balm!!!

Pros:

  • Really sweet and strong smell of strawberry! I LOVE IT!
  • Very moisturising on my dry lips
  • Last pretty long, it does wear off when you eat, obviously! 🙂
  • Nice container that looks like those lipstick containers! GORGEOUS!

Cons:

  • I don’t really like the colour on my lips, it looks very reddish instead of much pink.

~~~~~
Perhaps, I might get another lip balm that doesn’t contain any colour or tint…
School is starting soon and I’ve decided to give my hair a new colour. Thus, I went to the supermarket, Fairprice Xtra to look for the hairdyes. Indeed, there was so many brands and colours to choose from, like Liese, Loreal, Revlon, and some many other unfamiliar brands, I choose Gatsby.
Perhaps, I thought the colour would look nice on my head, and of course, I was on a budget, so I’ve decided to go for a cheaper one that my usual choice, Liese.
In the end I bought this Gatsby Bubble Type Bleach & Color in Antique Brown…Image
Perhaps, the hairdye was for men, since the model on the box was a guy, but still, I’ve decided to try it on my hair! 🙂
Image
The instructions on the box, similar to Liese’s. Nothing complicated.
ImageSo here’s the shade of brown that I’m most likely to expect, a darker type of brown.
Image
And here’s the what you can expect colour from different shades of hair. But still, don’t expect much from self-hairdyes.
Image
What you can find from the box: A pair of rubber gloves, A set of instructions, A nozzle cap, A bottle of solution and A bottle of colour.
Image
So, you’re supposed to add the colour to the solution bottle…and SHAKE WELL!
Image
Change the cap to the nozzle one. And let’s start dyeing!
Image
Before: Taken with camera flashlight.
Image
After: With camera flashlight again!
Image
And, under normal lighting, my hair looks dark brown:D
Of course, I think that Gatsby hair dye has it both pros and cons…
Pros:
  • Even hair dye from roots to tip, the colour is pretty much evenly spread out.
  • Waiting time is short, takes about 25mins only!
  • The strong hair dye smell (ammonia) DOES NOT EXIST! It doesn’t have much smell except some nice floral smell.
Cons:
  • The hair dye mix was so strong that my scalp was hurting and pricking when I was dyeing my hair! And my skin turn red too! Definitely not for sensitive skin!
  • After washing out the dye, my hair was in terrible condition, SUPER DRY AND HARD! I had to use lots of conditioner on my hair, and even so, my hair keeps tangling itself.
Perhaps, visiting a salon for a hair dye would still be the best, but if you’re on a budget, perhaps you might want to try out Gatsby, but be prepared to buy a super good conditioner for your aftercare.
Else, I would still prefer Liese or Loreal.
So, what’s your preferred brand?
Hair, Highlights, Dye, and I’m undecided…
It’s already in the mid of the semester break, and yet I still have yet to decide how am I going to do my hair. I know, I’ve been planning to dye or perhaps highlight my hair ever since SSM ended. But till today, I couldn’t decide which and what colour to choose from…
Recently, the ombre or dip-dyed hair has caused lots of girls to go crazy about, because it looks super pretty! ♥
And perhaps my hair is only in the mid-length I couldn’t decide if I should go for a dip-dye since long hair looks better with dip-dye, and I do really really really like the dip-dye hair styles!
Also, there’s this product called La Riche Directions, it’s a semi-permanent hair dye that the colour will fade after every wash (I heard this from the comments on the net…), upon knowing such product exist, I really wanted to try it out, but still I preferred to have a permanent hair dye:)
Image
Image
Still, I think the colours from La Riche Directions are very pretty, and I might be possibly using the colours as a gauge to which colour I’m going to pick to have it on my hair!
Personally, I like Turquoise, Lilac and Pastel Pink:)
Image
*Girl on the right*
Her hair looks super nice right? Dark brown hair with dip dye blonde and TURQUOISE!~
Image
Check out this one! It’s ombre with teal and turquoise! I really like this too!^^
Image
This looks pretty awesome for me! Since, I have near black hair, and purple is one of my favourites, perhaps I should imagine myself in this? Hmmmmm~
Image
This one looks suitable for me too, since it has black hair, and it’s ombre…But I think gradient brown seems not-so-cool?
It definitely it’s for those who are don’t want to take such a risk!^^
Image
Perhaps a combination of dip dye and tint of blonde would looks good on my near black hair?
Image
Streaks of PINK! Pink seems pretty on brown hair~
ImageImage
Or maybe purple highlights all over my hair?
Image
How about a combination of purple and blue highlights?
I think it looks pretty though, ON BLACK HAIR 😀
Image
Image
But still, I really like the hair Selena Gomez wore! They are called inner highlights, where only your inner hair is highlighted and the top layer remains as it is. It do looks pretty cool and sneaky right?
Image
Some digital image that pop up first when I search for inner highlights hair! This look nice, though it’s not real.should I do this?
Image
(The most real picture to the above one, but has pretty much small size….)
I think that this turquoise inner highlights looks awesome too!
Image
This inner highlights is in teal, it do look nice, don’t it?^^
Image
I think I could also dye my hair dark brown and dip dye with the colour CORAL PINK!
Image
Inner highlight with purple and black hair? Does it looks nice? o.O
Image
Inner highlights with blonde and dark brown hair! I think this also look pretty…
Image
Image
Or perhaps I should do a natural dark brown dye with evenly spread blonde highlights?
A more brunette looking hair I would consider, but from an asian to a brunette-looking, this sounds good too! ^^
~~~~~

There’s so many styles, types and colours for me to choose from, I’m really spoilt for choice and can’t decided which shall I get. If only I had many heads, I get all the styles and colours!

But now, I’ve got to decide which colour and style should I get…dip-dye? ombre? highlights all over? dye?inner highlights? blonde? turquoise? teal? coral pink? lilac? purple? dark brown?

I still can’t make a decision, what do you think I should get that’s suitable for my current shoulder length, really dark brown, near black hair?

Mid-length Hairstyle!♥

Maybe it’s not black and white for all, but for most of the shoots they are in black and white…

Anyway, this time, I had shoulder length hair and they were really a challenge to style it…

Image(I know this is so un-glamourous! And it do look like I’m topless! I was trying to figure out what can I do with this short hair…)

Disclaimer: I’m wearing a tube top btw!

ImageSo, this one, is actually a bun-up with a cute coral-coloured ribbon headband which you can’t see from the black and white effect. I was trying to achieve the princess look that is probably sweet and cute:)

But in the end, I figure out that letting down my hair would still be the best, and I just took a hair straightening iron to curl my hair!

After all, my haircut was actually inspired from Nicole Richie and that chinese-looking hairstyle. (I think they are just motivators for me to snip off my long hair…)

Image

ImageI kind of wished that I had blonde hair, so that I could do the dip-dye thing-y that’s in trend now! The colours like lilac and turquoise look so good with blonde!

So here’s me…

ImageAnd can you figure out that I was trying to get the same look from Nicole Richie in the above photo? I know it kind of failed anyway…

Image

And now, the barbie SHOCKING look, but maybe it would be better if I had stick on false lashes…

Image

Image

And kudos to braces, it had actually allowed me to gain self-confidence, in smiling more widely, and baring my teeth! Now, I’m proud to be a brace-face as I love braces so so so much!

Image

 This one has a more vintage “touch” to it…

And the last one is my favourite among all!

My Bo-ho Look!

I tried bohemian look back a few months ago, and here are the overdue photos and blog posts!

(I know it’s been like ages since I updated this dead blog of mine because I’ve been blogging in my old blog and that there’s barely any happy things that happened, so I didn’t had any posts for here!)

Image

Image

Now, what do you think of my bo-ho look?

Liese Bubble Hair Color-Sweet Pink

For CNY this year, I’ve decided to dye my hair using Liese Bubble Hair Color, Sweet Pink. Formally, I’ve tried Liese Chestnut Brown and Platinum Beige.

I still keep the boxes though. Hahaha!

Today, I’m trying this sweet pink colour! I hope it’ll turn out well and my hair will be reddy or pinky:)

So, here are the contents that you can find inside the box …

And here’s the mixture of the dye…

This is the colour of my hair before the dye. Originally, it has the colour of Platinum Beige but I suppose the colour has faded quite a lot, leaving me with just brown hair …

I’m wearing my free cape from Liese! I got this cape when I bought Chestnut Brown and I really love the cape as it prevents my clothes from getting stained:)

I wore the gloves…and I’m ready to start dye-ing my hair!

I changed the cap to the nozzle …

Bubbles, bubbles and lots of pink bubbles!

Ok, I look hideous in this photo! But check out the foamy foamy dye on my hair! It’s pink! ♥

Tadaaa! This is my hair colour after washing the dye off! It doesn’t look really pink or red though but I got a much lighter brown shade for my hair. Maybe the colour might look a little different under sunlight?

My hair looks pretty dry and crisp after the dye as usual, and the colour were much lighter near my roots than the ends. It was a little uneven though, I wonder why, but this usually happens to Liese hair-dyes…

Anyway, I’m going to try the new Hoyu BeautyLabo the next time I dye my hair again! Or maybe not, I might want to go to a salon and highlight my hair purple!

But, I’m still satisfied and contented with the hair colour now! Woohoo!~
