My New Clique!

Clique comes and go, just how friends come and go as time passes by with all the life events taking place. You would join new cliques and leave the old ones behind and soon after, those friends whom you were once very close with become less significant in your life and the new ones in your clique move up in your ranking.

I used to have a clique from school whom I once very close with but however with all the change in classes, school work and internship, we drifted apart from very close friends who could discuss anything to people whom you talk to regarding school work. It is indeed very saddening because as much as you try to, there is no way you can relive those happy moments and the strong friendship bond that you once had.

However, throughout this period, beside meeting my new friend Pam, I got to know of these 3 lovely girls, maybe one of them you might have known before, but the four of us makes really good friends.

ImageOn the far left is Glad, followed by Glenda and my god mummy, Karen!

Perhaps you might be wondering why am I addressing Karen, God-mummy? It was meant to be a joke or maybe some role-playing since she is the more matured one in our clique. I am her God-daughter and Glad is my God-sister. Where’s our God-daddy? Still in the midst of searching…

So how did we actually know each other?

In one of the funniest places you would ever think of, somewhere where it is not possible for friendship to foster. I know it’s tough, yes, our friendship started out in a club. From a friend introducing us to one another and then introducing to more new friends, that is how we actually ended up knowing each other.

Of course, since our friendship started out because of clubbing, our common activity is to head to club and enjoy ourselves. Nevertheless, besides just clubbing, we do hang out together most of the time when our schedules allow us to, or simply we would try to make time for one another. It isn’t easy especially when Karen is working, I am near graduating and the other two girls, Glad and Glenda are still in their Year 2 or soon-to-be Year 3.

In fact, it has been really amazing how our friendship grew so well and that we barely even had any quarrels with one another. They have been the best girls and clique that I hang out with most of the time and hopefully unlike those past friendships, this clique will last as long as it would take, even if we grow older, more mature and clubbing no longer become our main focus, we would still be able to maintain the friendship and way of communication just like presently.

They have been the best, and they just make my each day a little bit more interesting~

My New Friend- Pam!

Her name is Pamelia, and she is my new friend. I got to know her from Emrys, in Taiwan where she was Emrys’s buddy.

I don’t remember how we became closer, perhaps it was internship that brought us closer together, and of course, food like Swee Choon and ramen.

It happen that we had the same off day on a Sunday and we decided to go to the beach to suntan together! Pam was late as usual and I had to wait for her and while sitting at the sky park, it was my first time seeing a star cruise!

Image

ImageBeautiful sky, but there was no sun. It was raining and we had to hid under the shelter.

Image

ImageI took some selfies because it was so boring since there was no sun and we finished our food.

ImageImageI am so vain. Hahaha

ImageThis is Pam! It was fun taking crazy photos with her! Haha 😀

ImageWe took tonnes of photo that day! PHOTO SPAM TIME XD

I had alot of fun time with Pam that day even though during the period where we were suntanning while lying on the sand, many indians were trying to disturb us by sneakily trying to take photos of us. We were so angry we had to stood up and stare at them.

We had Fish n Co for dinner!

After which, we ended the whole day with a nice glass of beer!

That Newest Craziest Trend: Thigh Gaps!

Those beautiful cover girl in magazine, advertorials and even blogs, they are beautifully skinny, long legs, and own a thigh gap that everyone has been dreaming to achieve by trying means and ways to slim down, exercise and to minimise the fats on their thighs so that they can flaunt their thigh gap as well.

ImageTo me, I think that whether you have thigh gap or not, it doesn’t matters. Whether is it that you are fat or skinny, it doesnt matters as well.

I don’t see the point to slim down to look good to fit in or for that special someone you have eye-ing at for weeks. I think that as long as you aren’t overweight, your BMI doesn’t exceed that healthy range, you are perfectly average size looking and there is no need to be trying hard to lose weight, by not eating.

Being pretty does not mean it’s a must to look skinny, thin, bony. If you are pretty you are, it’s about those who know how to appreciate your beauty and those who don’t.

Of course, there are always still photo-editing apps to help you achieve that skinny looking figure you been dreaming of without really having to slim down! (That’s just a lie and this ain’t a decent method though!)

ImageAs for me, I do not have a thigh gap. Still, I won’t want to lose weight because I think that I’m very much contented with my body size and that even though many people said that I look fat, having flabby arms or thighs, I don’t really give a damn about it because they are just too overly obsessed with skinny looking girls and that I think that having some fats is what I feel to be pretty.

Post-CNY Outing!

It’s the first day of the study week and I was supposed to be studying for the exam on friday but the group of us decided to give ourself a break first by going to Emrys’s house to “bainian” and to visit her cats followed by a long-awaited ramen meal at Marutama @ Clark Quay and then watching Ah Boys to Men 2!

The trip sounded so exciting right! Plus, everyone of us dressed our best for the day and it felt so cool! Especially entering the Marutama restaurant!

So, we all met at Woodlands MRT on a monday morning and many of them were late…and some were unable to make it which was kind of sad…

ImageA photo of us on the bus to Emrys house!

ImageA funny photo!

Image

Some of them are so scared of the cats and started dashing out of Emrys house!

And did you know that there’s 5 cats!!!

ImageHere’s the boy that frightened them! He’s such a sociable cat!

ImageHere’s my favourite one, Boyboy! She’s so scared of people that she hid behind the mattress!

ImageShe looks like a Garfield!

Image

She hides at a corner in the room!

It took a hard time for me to wait for BoyBoy to look into the camera!

Image

Her eyes are huge and look so cute!

Then, we went to Marutama!

 Marutama menu!

ImageAjitsuke Tamago arrived in bowl!

Usually, they would place it in your ramen!

The ajisuke tamago is the best I have eaten so far among many of the ramen shops! I love the hint of japanese soya sauce in their egg yolk where the egg is 60% cooked! Not too runny nor fully cooked! LOVEEE IT!

ImageNext came the Gyoza! It’s steamed and I loved it!

The sauce is actually a mix of japanese soya sauce and chilli oil with a dash of garnishing!

ImageMy ramen arrived! It’s non-spicy because I couldn’t take spice! Haha!

So, the first thing I did was to take a sip of the chicken broth! Relatively nice! But the first sip felt like the soup base of chicken instant noodles, I only got hooked on to it after several sips!

The noodles were rather nice, not to thick nor thick, springy and chewy! LOVELOVE!

Overall, I think that Marutama ramen is worth a visit especially for a dining place for girls’ outing!

ImageThe eight of us took a photo by the friendly staff before we left!

The staff were very friendly and helpful especially in helping us take photos! Teehee!~

ImageAnd we went to watch Ah Boys to Men 2! The movie was awesome and I’ve been wanting to watch the movie for like sooo LONG!!!

ImageAnd this is my outfit of the day!

Did my own french braid, Self-tie back dress in green from MDScollections, MaryJane wedges in black from Code Red!

I enjoyed the outing so much!

Can’t wait for the next one!~

An Authentic Kampong Chinese New Year Experience!

Definitely, it’s authentic with the rooster calling away during sunrise and living in a really big house with our own garden.

So, I had my Chinese New Year this year spent at my grandparents house again. The reason to which why I did not spend my Chinese New Year here, right in Singapore was that I didn’t like being here, I prefer the way of life in Malaysia, relaxing and slow paced, of course, time past faster than you could expect.

I had lots of fun there playing with “explosives” such as fireworks and various types of firecrackers!ImageFireworks!ImageReally pretty firecrackers!

ImageTourists came to our kampong to put firecracker! LOL~

Not only that, I got to take a look at the new terrace house that we had just renovated and managed to experience a high tide due to heavy rainfalls over the past few days! It was fun with the water coming into our house and rising to our knees in our kitchen! FUNNN!

ImageWe had our fence redone!ImageWhat do you think of our new house?ImageHere’s the living room! With a set of PURPLE sofa!Image

Gong Xi Fa Cai!

Proudly Presents: The Kampong Girl

So, when I was in Kota Tinggi, Malaysia, my sis helped me to take some lovely shoots as the kampong scenery was really awesome! Beautiful and natural…So, I’m sharing it with everyone here!

“Little QiQi and her bottle”

“A rundown telephone booth”

“The rebel girl from the 80s”

“I’m in love with the rusty old letter box!”

“I’m a modernistic kampong girl!”

“Nature and me”

I took this myself, and it was really sunny that my eyes could barely open!~

“City girl and her kampong”

“The untouch is the beauty”

Nothing much, but this is our house! So our kampong is not really an attap house but a house built with cement!

Funnybunny: ” I’m a sanity girl”

“In an attempt to be seductive and sexy”

I took my granny’s lollipops that were meant for CNY goodies and took pictures! The lollipops were handmade and looks lovely with it’s bright food-dyes!

“I’m in love with the lollipops!”

“Sweety-licious”

“Do you fancy one?”

“It’s all MINE!”

“WinkyWinkyWinky!”

“Yippee!”

“Dear lollipops, would you mind being mine?”

Okay, I look hideous with the flowers without makeup, eyeliners and blabla…but I love the flowers so much!

Another shot of myself with the flowers! The flowers are so pretty that it feels like spring is really here with us!

I went out to the river side at the back of our house, and the wind was so strong but I couldn’t help taking any photo!

Sweep-side…

Separated..

This is lame…Muahaha~

In line with CNY during the phototaking, she helped me took this photo…

This is really unglam, and my sis took this with the world-most horrendous caption, “Check out my older sis flabby on her arms!”

I was pratically OUTRAGED!…

And now, let me present to you my favourite landscape photos that she took…

“I’m so shy”

“Being hippy”

“Spring is finally here!”

“Freedom and captured…”

” A toilet-ty experience!”

“A city girl’s obsession…”

“I’m in control of my destiny…”

Here’s a close-up of the lollipops!

……..

So, if you were to notice that during the photo=taking, I never had a single make-up put on, be it false lashes, mascara, eye-liner, foundation, blusher, lipstick or blablabla, there was none!

I wanted to portray that feeling of city girl giving up her cosmetics to be natural and her own self as a kampong girl.

I hope that everyone love it and you can look me up in DeviantArt (Lilstory) as I’m posted some of them there such as the “Candy-licious” one!

Have a good day!

CNY 2012~

我先在这里祝大家龙年快乐,万事如意,恭喜恭喜!

During this CNY, I spent it in Malaysia, Kota Tinggi where my grandparents lived…

So, this is where I waited for my maju bus 227, to Kota Tinggi…

This is random but I bought Beard Papa Durian Puff in City Square@JohorBahru…It was cheap and delicious!

Stopping by Ulu Tiram Interchange during the journey…

In my uncle’s car before heading home!

CNY goodies at grand’s house!

Little QiQi on 初一!

We had charcoal style steamboat, using only charcoal to cook the food! How awesome can that be! I bet most Singaporeans wouldn’t be using such steamboat during CNY…

这就是沙炮!

This is a 8m long red firecracker! boomboomboom~

This is the dalmation that we keep in our kampong, her name is Xiao Qi.

This is our neighbour’s cat resting under my grand’s car!

My sis took a funny photo with the dog…LOL!

And check out my self-DIY nails! I did it myself and I used Sally Hansen Ink Splatter Shatter and Sinful Colors Beautiful Girl nail polishes that were bought from New York!

They look really lovely right?

Anyways, Happy Chinese New Year, every-boardies!
