Off to the Beach!

It’s the holidays again and I’m so happy that the group of friends have organise a really fun outing to the beach at Sentosa which includes a potluck lunch!

It was my first time going on an outing in a such a big group which I’m not used to because of my introvert, and this time, it was a huge step that I have made to go out with so many people and getting out of my shell! I’m so proud of myself! *pat on my back*

On the whole, I really had lots of fun at the beach despite being getting sunburn instead of tanned. I also got to know more about the people, like Allison, Chong Huang, Desmond, Wei En, Nic and Pam since I wasn’t really close with them until yesterday!

After we got back to Vivo City from Sentosa, we went to take away our dinner and had them at the Sky Park at Vivo City Level 3.

When we finished eating, we started to playing truth or dare and it was so scary because I was  so afraid that the bottle point at me and thankfully it didn’t aimed at me most of the time! I really did had a good time playing truth or dare for the dares were really funny especially when the dares were for the guys! HAHAHA! 😀

A Story of A Bullied Victim in School…

Have you suffer from peer pressure in your high school or secondary school day?

Have you been a victim in being bully and jeered?

Have you been a class outcast?

Well, let me tell you a story, there’s this innocent-looking girl who was shy and introvert and a sms reply to this guy changed the fate of her entire 4 years in secondary school. 

So, it all started out when she replied this guy who said that he fancied her and wanted to go out with her and being such an innocent girl, she said yes because she told it was just a joke and that she was not really going to go out with him.

However, things got nasty the next day she went to school, the moment she stepped into the class, the whole class started pointing fingers at her, laughing, joking and jeering at her. She was not even sure what was happening until one of her best friends stepped out to tell her the story. 

Finally, she realized that the guy was just playing a prank on her and she was too foolish and silly to have replied him with a “yes”. Of course, deep down, she wanted to voiced out that she was joking too but she eventually figured out that there was no way anyone would listen to her except for her besties.

And this prank, lasted on till the next stage of secondary school where streaming took place and she was separated from her best friends and placed in a class where majority were guys.

Things started to get worst when her eczema started a terrible outbreak and that a non-intentional blog-post lead to a storm of misunderstanding which resulted in the entire class ganging up against her. 40 versus 1 student. Who’s gonna win?

You know the answers.

And for that the two years, she hated school so much and that the only thing that she looked forward too was CCA, recess and lunch time where it was the only time she was able to meet up with her best friends.

Nonetheless, for every terrible teasing and jeering she got, it would resulted in an emotional breakdown and leading her running and hiding inside the toilet crying and tearing. At that moment, school was shit to her and that home was the best place to hide from all those humiliation.

Things also got even out-of-hand when she decided to study really hard so that in terms of intellectual wise, she was able to stand out from them, and turns out, they started teasing her for being the “teacher’s pet and bootlicker”. She was also given nicknames like ” bookworm, nerds, geek, silent movie, bitch…” etc. It just gets nasty each time…

And for everytime she chanced upon the guys in her class, they would start teasing about her legs because of the eczema scars that were on her, it made them look really ugly. Worst of all, she suffered from some family problems where she couldn’t afford to get braces and well, she was named “bucktooth”. Some of the mean guys even commented, ” This girl is so ugly and that I would rather than the fatest girl in class than to go out with her. I would kill myself if I’m forced to go out with her.”

This left the girl heartbroken and emotionally scarred… From the four years of intimidating school life, she no longer trusted guys anymore and started hating every single guys in school whether be it they are kind, good or bad, she just hated them. 

Also, she had even build up a defence wall emotionally so as to not get near any guys ever again to prevent getting hurt from those nasty comments. 

She no longer trust guys.

Well, by now, I guess you would know who’s this girl.. It’s was me…

And the morale of sharing this story will everyone is not about wanting to gain any sympathy or pity from anyone of you out there.

But, all I want to say that, before you become a bully, think about the consequences. A simple act that you think that it is fun and thrilling to do so, may ruin another person’s life. Be it emotionally or physically, it will leave him/her scarred for the whole life.

And he/she may not be able to step out of the taunt and face life positively like how everyone else is able to.

So, be a kind person to yourself and to others, let’s not jeer or laugh or joke at any person you know whether be it they are a normal person or someone suffering from any illness.

That way, school will be a better place for everyone…

My First Worst Moment In Poly Life!

It wasn’t just any worst moment that you can imagine like waking up on the wrong side of my bed, a bad hair day nor studying for the wrong paper. It was much more worst than any of it…

I went to school in the morning as usual and feeling afresh despite the 4 hours of sleep that I had after rushing for a reflection paper that was suppose to be submitted in the morning. After the submission of the reflection paper, I attended the lecture that I have been missing pretty frequently, and half an hour past the lecture, a sudden pain started to creep into my tummy.

The pain lasted quite some time and then I realized that it wasn’t any normal tummy ache. It was my CRAMPS! Then, it started to get worst every single minute where the pain comes off and on and each time it comes back, it hurts more than the previous time. This is when I started panicking!

Of course, I wasn’t expecting it to come so soon because I just had it on the 9th of January and today’s the 1st of February and it came! Worst of all, I did not bring my precious pontalon to school 

So for those who do not know what is Pontalon, it’s actually a stronger dose of painkillers for menses or post-operation pain. It comes in the form of capsule with green and white cap. Nonetheless, similar products to Pontalon is Ponstan and the main ingredient is mefenamic acid.

So, once the lecture ended, I rushed straight to my school’s bookshop to buy pink panadol which is my next alternative since I did not have pontalon with me. (I know my school’s bookshop is an amazing shop that sells almost every single thing that you need such as medicine (charcoal pills for diarrhea), sewing kids, socks, swimming costume, snacks.)

If you were wondering what’s pink panadol, it’s actually Panadol Menstrual and the reason I called it pink panadol because it was pink in colour! And that the word “menstrual” doesn’t sounds like a nice word to me…

So, after my purchase, I quickly pop 2 of the pink panadols into my mouth and then I had my breakfast at Mcdonalds where I ordered my favourite Egg Mcmuffin set meal. Of course, I didn’t enjoy the meal as much as I do when I did not have the stabbing pain at my lower abdomen.

As time pass, the pink panadols did not have any effect on me so I guess I’m kind of immune to it already and requires stronger dosage of painkillers so save me! Then I had to attend my tutorials with such horrendous pain, that I ended up tearing and weeping in the midst of my classmates presentation! THE PAIN WAS UNBEARABLE! 

During the class, I messaged my best friend with a save my life message and she started to worry and ask around her friends if they had any pills for menses cramps. Thankfully, one of her groupmates had pills that were prescribed from the doctor for the cramps! And they were much stronger than the pink panadols!

I took them and I felt much better half an hour later!

She really saved my life and took away the horrendous pain that was killing me for the past few hours!

MY LIFE SAVER!!!

This made me realize that some girls are just so lucky to be blessed with a healthy set of female reproductive organs that does not kills them during the period of the month! I wish I could be one of those lucky girls as well…Still, there ain’t gonna be any way!

My Favourite Pastime!

Chick Flicks, Teen Flicks, High School Flicks, they’ve been the best!

I’ve always enjoy watching movies, not horror ones nor thrillers, perhaps romance would be the ideal category for me. But personally, I think that chick,teens,high school flicks would still be the best representation for my favourite types of movies!

YES!

I really do enjoy spending some nice time, dressed down in just my purple oversized worn out shirt and a pair of black snuggly fit pants, laying down in the perfect position on my bed with my pillows and then watching the movie on my laptop. Whether is it morning, noon, evening, night or perhaps midnight, I just enjoy watching those flicks on my laptop.

You know, such flicks, always have those dramatic starting and the “problem” which is the climax that’s usually not that ideal, probably making situation at its worst, and when the show actually reaches near it’s end, miraculously all these problems get solved instantly and always ends, with a perfectly happily ever after ending or at least an ending where most girls like me expects it to!

I know that sometimes watching these flicks repetitively and constantly may be boring, but I’ve always enjoyed myself watching them! It’s just my favourite pastime when I have nothing else better to do!

And, if you think that such pastime would something that you might want to consider, I could suggest some of those flicks to you!

So, perhaps you’re still a young teen, not too much of sex stuffs for you, so flicks like the entire series of A Cinderella Story, Princess Diaries, Mean Girls or Legally Blonde might be a good start for you! Of course, there are also, Bride Wars, 13 Going On 30, Sydney White, Princess Protection Programme,View From The Top (My favourite! Gosssh! I love it! Gwyneth Pathrow being the air stewardess, and the memorable tagline, “Never get anything in the way of your destiny!” I can totally remember it!).

And, if you are in for some matured themed chick flicks, there’s the awesome The House Bunny, What’s Your Number?, Easy A, but, there’s the whole entire coolest and BEST movie series of American Pie that’s something you definitely don’t want to MISS!!!

I know the list can go and on, and I’ve watched tonnes of them already and some, I’ve totally forgot the titles, so you can actually go check them out yourself!
