A New Haircut, Perhaps?

I’m so sick of my mid length hair that is growing way too slowly and I realized that as my hair grew longer, I lose more hair which didn’t happen to me back then until I started hair-dye and 4 months of weekly hair-gelling for school (I’ve stop the hair-gelling already, but my hair keeps on dropping!).

Perhaps I should snip off my hair again? I don’t know, I really want a nice long hair but it’s too unhealthy and it keeps on dropping which really worries me because I’m afraid of the widening of hairline.

Image

This is my current length of my hair and because I often tie my hair in a bun at home, my hair has become relatively wavy and I have done some inner highlights at the salon months ago and I really love them because the copper blonde looks really good! If I were to cut my hair, my inner highlights will be gone as well. 😦

Also, my fringe are slightly overgrown and out of shape that I have to resort to pinning them up occasionally

I dunno if I should cut my hair, and if I should, what sort of hairstyles would suit my face? My face seems to be very long but it can’t be considered to have that “oblong” face shape because I don’t have really sharp jaws and neither does my face fall into the “oval” face shape category. This really gives me a headache on which hairstyles or haircuts would actually suit my face the best.

Anyway, I have found some decent hairstyles and cuts that I really like which makes me kind of indecisive…

Image

This one has a really nice and tidy shape where the length of the hair meets the jaw and gives it some slight contours and the bangs really do make the face look slightly smaller.

Image

This one is a slightly longer version of the hairstyle above.

Image

This one is a very simple shoulder length hairstyle with over-grown bangs, I’m in favour of the length but not the bangs because it would really irritate my eyes though…

Image

This one has side fringe and it sure looks good too!

I really can’t decide what to do with my hair, seriously. Everyone says that I look weird with layered bangs, look cute with bangs, look pretty with side fringe and I have no idea what should I decide on…

Damn, deciding on a haircut is so troublesome!

The Best of Times!

*Drumrolls*

Yes! I finally had a meetup with my bff! She’s Siru! The ultimate and officially bff that I have! She’s not the best bff that you would expect, but I guess we kind of are able to “click” and hit off well in a way despite the lack of closeness due to us pursuing different routes of education. Of course, she likes fashion stuffs which I really do and we do have some common topics on and off which I can’t share with you here. Hehehehe!

ImageI got myself dressed in my new dress from MDScollections! I really love the back of the dress which I couldn’t show you without the help of someone taking photo for me! But still, it does features a nice white crochet top part and the bottom is chiffon and pastel pink! So pretty!

And, I wore my ankle strap nude flats that I bought from Vern’s in Malaysia! It’s a really light-coloured and pastel-looking day with this girly vibe! Feels good to be young! 😉

Image

So, we decided to settle our lunch at this small corner in AMK HUB called Hong Kong Sheng Kee Dessert. It’s a really small place but rather nice place to chill out and meet your friends!

Image

So here’s the promotion menu! And I ordered one wanton noodle soup and added on a Pomelo Sago and a supposedly carrot cake (Siru ordered wrongly and turns out to be a yam cake. YUCK! I really hate yam cake!)

Image

Here’s the wanton noodle soup! You could opt for dry or soup!

And here’s my verdict: It’s nothing really fanciful or amazing and neither do I feel “wow” about eating it. It’s really light and rather bland and nothing special, for the price of $6.50, I guess it wasn’t really worth it for that bowl of noodles. (THUMBS DOWN!)

Image

Here’s the add-on $1.50 of Pomelo Sago and yam cake!

My verdict?

Well, appearance-wise, it sure looks good but the taste was terrible. I’m not a really a yam cake person so not comments about it.

But the Pomelo Sago was BLEAH! It was really watery and bland with barely much mango smell and taste and the Pomelo? It was more of bitter than fragrance! And Sago? There was none! I guess you would say that I’m really very fickle with food, but dessert wise, like mango sago related stuffs, I’m extremely picky about it because my grandpa owns a dessert shop and he taught me what’s kind of mango sago or dessert is best and how to taste and identify them.

So, a bowl of Pomelo Sago at this shop? Save your money for a $1.50 Ice-cream sundae at Macs!

Image

So, after our meal we went to Bugis Street because I wanted to get a bag and some clothes and she accompanied me so!

Well, I ended up buying a laser cut clutch in black and not a handbag and I bought this black bandage skirt to pair with the coral top I got from MDScollections! Now, I have the perfect outfit!

I’m a happy girl! Best of all, the bandage skirt fits me well and was really versatile with any tops! Wahooo!!! I could buy more bandage skirt in future!

Image

Oh! Did I mentioned that I got my very first LBD?

Ok, little black dress  (LBD) is a must-have in every girl’s wardrobe because it’s so versatile! AND…I finally got ONEEE!

(Ok, I took these photos after reaching home and trying on those loots hoping they would fit because shopping at Bugis Street doesn’t allows you to try the clothes as they are sold cheap.)

Image

And ending off the day with a photo of Siru and me!!!

I didn’t put a single drop or specks of makeup on my face! BUT!!!

Because I feel like myself, make-up-less and most importantly comfortable with her, for she doesn’t looks down on me nor find me ugly with so many eczema scars and freckles on my face (due to SUNTAN! Grrr~) and that matter a lot to me! I can feel confident and at ease with her without worrying about looking ugly at all time!

I really love this bff so much! She’s so nice :))

For the very first time…

First time…what first time?

Yes. For the very first time I dress nicely and put on makeup to go out…

Call me nuts. I have no idea why I did that.

Usually, I don’t wear makeup out because I feel that there is not a need to do so and of course, my laziness…

But, this time I’ve gone nuts and my sister was so kind to help me take a few photos for me!

Didn’t really like the shadow on my neck!

Another favourite!!! It captures me double eyelid really well!

Ok, I’m ending this post with my braces smile!

I’m so proud to be a brace face!

And that I’m flaunting it to the whole world!

LOL!~

Centre Parted Hairstyles!

Recently, there has been an increasing number of centre parting hairstyles sighted around, especially in school, many girls have their sweep side bangs to centre parting…

Then, I started to realise that it’s this season’s hairstyle trend to have centre parted hair,let down, tied up and even half clipped!

Now, check out those pretty centre parted hairstyles!

~~~~~~~
I wonder if centre parted hairstyles would look good on all face shapes…
And so,
I decided to try it on myself…
Here’s how I look!
Image
It kind of look weird and my face seems longer without my swept side bangs…
What do you think?
School is starting soon and I’ve decided to give my hair a new colour. Thus, I went to the supermarket, Fairprice Xtra to look for the hairdyes. Indeed, there was so many brands and colours to choose from, like Liese, Loreal, Revlon, and some many other unfamiliar brands, I choose Gatsby.
Perhaps, I thought the colour would look nice on my head, and of course, I was on a budget, so I’ve decided to go for a cheaper one that my usual choice, Liese.
In the end I bought this Gatsby Bubble Type Bleach & Color in Antique Brown…Image
Perhaps, the hairdye was for men, since the model on the box was a guy, but still, I’ve decided to try it on my hair! 🙂
Image
The instructions on the box, similar to Liese’s. Nothing complicated.
ImageSo here’s the shade of brown that I’m most likely to expect, a darker type of brown.
Image
And here’s the what you can expect colour from different shades of hair. But still, don’t expect much from self-hairdyes.
Image
What you can find from the box: A pair of rubber gloves, A set of instructions, A nozzle cap, A bottle of solution and A bottle of colour.
Image
So, you’re supposed to add the colour to the solution bottle…and SHAKE WELL!
Image
Change the cap to the nozzle one. And let’s start dyeing!
Image
Before: Taken with camera flashlight.
Image
After: With camera flashlight again!
Image
And, under normal lighting, my hair looks dark brown:D
Of course, I think that Gatsby hair dye has it both pros and cons…
Pros:
  • Even hair dye from roots to tip, the colour is pretty much evenly spread out.
  • Waiting time is short, takes about 25mins only!
  • The strong hair dye smell (ammonia) DOES NOT EXIST! It doesn’t have much smell except some nice floral smell.
Cons:
  • The hair dye mix was so strong that my scalp was hurting and pricking when I was dyeing my hair! And my skin turn red too! Definitely not for sensitive skin!
  • After washing out the dye, my hair was in terrible condition, SUPER DRY AND HARD! I had to use lots of conditioner on my hair, and even so, my hair keeps tangling itself.
Perhaps, visiting a salon for a hair dye would still be the best, but if you’re on a budget, perhaps you might want to try out Gatsby, but be prepared to buy a super good conditioner for your aftercare.
Else, I would still prefer Liese or Loreal.
So, what’s your preferred brand?
Hair, Highlights, Dye, and I’m undecided…
It’s already in the mid of the semester break, and yet I still have yet to decide how am I going to do my hair. I know, I’ve been planning to dye or perhaps highlight my hair ever since SSM ended. But till today, I couldn’t decide which and what colour to choose from…
Recently, the ombre or dip-dyed hair has caused lots of girls to go crazy about, because it looks super pretty! ♥
And perhaps my hair is only in the mid-length I couldn’t decide if I should go for a dip-dye since long hair looks better with dip-dye, and I do really really really like the dip-dye hair styles!
Also, there’s this product called La Riche Directions, it’s a semi-permanent hair dye that the colour will fade after every wash (I heard this from the comments on the net…), upon knowing such product exist, I really wanted to try it out, but still I preferred to have a permanent hair dye:)
Image
Image
Still, I think the colours from La Riche Directions are very pretty, and I might be possibly using the colours as a gauge to which colour I’m going to pick to have it on my hair!
Personally, I like Turquoise, Lilac and Pastel Pink:)
Image
*Girl on the right*
Her hair looks super nice right? Dark brown hair with dip dye blonde and TURQUOISE!~
Image
Check out this one! It’s ombre with teal and turquoise! I really like this too!^^
Image
This looks pretty awesome for me! Since, I have near black hair, and purple is one of my favourites, perhaps I should imagine myself in this? Hmmmmm~
Image
This one looks suitable for me too, since it has black hair, and it’s ombre…But I think gradient brown seems not-so-cool?
It definitely it’s for those who are don’t want to take such a risk!^^
Image
Perhaps a combination of dip dye and tint of blonde would looks good on my near black hair?
Image
Streaks of PINK! Pink seems pretty on brown hair~
ImageImage
Or maybe purple highlights all over my hair?
Image
How about a combination of purple and blue highlights?
I think it looks pretty though, ON BLACK HAIR 😀
Image
Image
But still, I really like the hair Selena Gomez wore! They are called inner highlights, where only your inner hair is highlighted and the top layer remains as it is. It do looks pretty cool and sneaky right?
Image
Some digital image that pop up first when I search for inner highlights hair! This look nice, though it’s not real.should I do this?
Image
(The most real picture to the above one, but has pretty much small size….)
I think that this turquoise inner highlights looks awesome too!
Image
This inner highlights is in teal, it do look nice, don’t it?^^
Image
I think I could also dye my hair dark brown and dip dye with the colour CORAL PINK!
Image
Inner highlight with purple and black hair? Does it looks nice? o.O
Image
Inner highlights with blonde and dark brown hair! I think this also look pretty…
Image
Image
Or perhaps I should do a natural dark brown dye with evenly spread blonde highlights?
A more brunette looking hair I would consider, but from an asian to a brunette-looking, this sounds good too! ^^
~~~~~

There’s so many styles, types and colours for me to choose from, I’m really spoilt for choice and can’t decided which shall I get. If only I had many heads, I get all the styles and colours!

But now, I’ve got to decide which colour and style should I get…dip-dye? ombre? highlights all over? dye?inner highlights? blonde? turquoise? teal? coral pink? lilac? purple? dark brown?

I still can’t make a decision, what do you think I should get that’s suitable for my current shoulder length, really dark brown, near black hair?

Liese Bubble Hair Color-Sweet Pink

For CNY this year, I’ve decided to dye my hair using Liese Bubble Hair Color, Sweet Pink. Formally, I’ve tried Liese Chestnut Brown and Platinum Beige.

I still keep the boxes though. Hahaha!

Today, I’m trying this sweet pink colour! I hope it’ll turn out well and my hair will be reddy or pinky:)

So, here are the contents that you can find inside the box …

And here’s the mixture of the dye…

This is the colour of my hair before the dye. Originally, it has the colour of Platinum Beige but I suppose the colour has faded quite a lot, leaving me with just brown hair …

I’m wearing my free cape from Liese! I got this cape when I bought Chestnut Brown and I really love the cape as it prevents my clothes from getting stained:)

I wore the gloves…and I’m ready to start dye-ing my hair!

I changed the cap to the nozzle …

Bubbles, bubbles and lots of pink bubbles!

Ok, I look hideous in this photo! But check out the foamy foamy dye on my hair! It’s pink! ♥

Tadaaa! This is my hair colour after washing the dye off! It doesn’t look really pink or red though but I got a much lighter brown shade for my hair. Maybe the colour might look a little different under sunlight?

My hair looks pretty dry and crisp after the dye as usual, and the colour were much lighter near my roots than the ends. It was a little uneven though, I wonder why, but this usually happens to Liese hair-dyes…

Anyway, I’m going to try the new Hoyu BeautyLabo the next time I dye my hair again! Or maybe not, I might want to go to a salon and highlight my hair purple!

But, I’m still satisfied and contented with the hair colour now! Woohoo!~
