Staycation: FOUR POINTS SHERATON!

The long awaited staycation finally came, after weeks and weeks of waiting. It was my first staycation with Yunteng and I was really excited about being away from home and work for a good one day to chill and relax.

SO why did we choose FOUR POINTS SHERATON? over the so many other hotels in Singapore? Well, because mainly it met our budget of less than $150/night and it was in the area with plenty of activities and food places.

Actually, Four Points Sheraton was previously the old Riverview Hotel Singapore which everyone remembers for the murder case that happened few years back in Room 1511 and I didn’t google on the exactly room location until I returned home from the staycation and turns out that the murder scene was just a room below ours…HMM… I wonder if the room is available for hotel guests or has it been blocked permanently?

img_1747

Anyway back to the more juicy details about the staycation! I left my house at around 12noon on Saturday hoping that we could check in at 2pm sharp and have enough time to SUNTAN!!! Yeah, my favourite activity!

img_1816

This was the lift lobby view from our 16th storey floor. It has a really nice curved porch where you can take lots of instagram-worthy shots but I was too lazy to pose and wanted to head straight into the room to snooze! HAHA 😛

img_1916img_1918

We book a superior room and twin beds and requested for a bathtub and highfloor and they acceded to our request and in our room there was this lovely sofa bed by the window with a nice spotlight right smack in the middle which gives the window place one of the best spot in the room to take photo!

img_1924img_1929img_1931

(I’m alilttle lazy to edit the photos so pardon if it’s not pretty enough.)

With Yunteng 😀

img_1932img_1938img_1939

The view was really spectacular so I can’t help doing some of my favourite yoga poses! HEHE 😀

img_1970

“When you have a spontaneous friend who joins you in attempt of a Lord of the Dance yoga pose, it’s AWESOME!”

We took quite awhile with photos-taking at the pretty window before we finally dressed ourselves and headed to the pool for some tanning action! FINALLY 😀

I brought my blue polka dot bikini that I got in Bangkok earlier this year and my sunglasses from my last year’s Shenzhen trip!

The pool side was nothing spectacular or pretty, it was the exact similar pool as the old Riverview hotel, so we didn’t take much photos at the pool.

Around evening we headed to Liang Court to grab some dinner and Medi-ya to do some grocery shopping! And I got myself a cider heheehe

img_1882

So Yunteng took a sneaky pic of me while as waiting for her to snap photos of the river’s nightview and it just happen that Intercontinental @Robertson Quay which was in the making is in the background…OHHH, good old memories of that building site as it was the former Gallery Hotel Singapore on Nanson Road and there was me, cleaning room as a chambermaid and occasionally slacking while looking out from the windows, now that it has gone into history…memories… HAHA

Brought Yunteng to my favourite casual hunt, Saizeriya! Decent italian food at affordable prices and she loved it, that explains the aplenty of selfies haha.

And after dinner we headed back to the hotel and I passed her belated present as I wasn’t able to give her on time because I was busy occupied with my cabin crew training paperwork and contract… So thrilled she didn’t mind that her present were late and in fact she’s was really happy with the presents! YEAH 😀

img_1906img_1907img_1908img_1910

It’s my first attempt on yoga ball to assist on a back bend, and I have admit, it really helps open up your back and shoulders alot more than not using any equipment to do a backbend, THUMBS UP!

img_1911

Apparently, I was attempting to do a yoga ball pushup but it was really hard to maneuver as it was my first time trying and ended up sliding to that position…EMBARRASSED HAHA XD

img_1778img_1777img_1776

img_1775

Well, it’s another attempt using yoga ball to do an assisted elbow stand scorpion pose, not too bad for a beginner I guess, although it’s not a perfect one!

img_1847img_1849

Practiced my bridging too and Yunteng decided to join me!

img_1850img_1851I taught her the camel pose too and it look pretty good and we manage to do a double camel pose! It was my first time snapping yoga pose with a partner (which has been my dream to have a yoga partner for once) and I really love how it turns out! THANKS ❤

img_1852img_1853

There’s the opposite attract haha, doesn’t it looks like this icons ><

I really love the gym lighting and backdrop, pretty place to take yoga photos, if only there was a pole, it would be really really pretty to take pole pics!

img_1812img_1822

After gym and stretching sessions, it was my favourite activity, BUBBLE BATHS! Look at thick blobs of bubble foam! Lovingggggggggg it WOOHOO!

It started to pour heavily and the rumbling thunders could be heard from the window and we decided to stay up to play some real monopoly which evokes lots of childhood memories and of course, not forgetting my Albens Apply Cider that I got. (It was good, better than Somersby and Strongbows as it’s really less less sweet!)

We woke up late the next day and check out of the hotel at 1.40pm even though we requested for late check out till 1pm, they did not charged us for the late check out hehe!

img_1862

Bye, Four Points Sheraton, it was a lovely stay 😀

img_1864

After checking out we headed to Cineleisure to catch the horror movie that we had been wanted to watch before we headed back, it was an impromptu decision but I did enjoyed myself alot hehe!

So looking forward to my Bangkok solo trip next 🙂

Don’t give up if you don’t make it!

This is a continuation of my previous I’m a cabin crew wannabe!, you can click on the link to read if you hadn’t! 😀

It’s been been 4months since my last interview with CX and I’ve been to many other interviews with other airlines and repeated some of the interviews again. The long waiting journey was arduous and mentally challenges because each rejection was like another dreams and hopes being dashed.

I’ve went to SQ interview again on July and I couldn’t make it pass the group interview. I remember the group interview question was “What was the recent movie that you watched and what was it about?” I completely blanked out and replied them with my favourite all time movie “View From The Top” which was an old movie but I re-watched it the night before the interview.

Also, I’ve been to MI’s interview at Changi Airport in their crew office. On my first try, I made it to the 1-to-1 interview but did make it to the management interview. It was a great disappointment. Their interview stage that I went through was:

  1. Registration (Certificates and documents check and with 2 passport photos)
  2. Height check and arm reach test (208cm)
  3. Group interview in group of 10 (Question was: Introduce yourself and tell us why you want to join Silkair?”)
  4. Uniform-fitting and skin check (They will check for visible scars and marks and tattoos under normal office lighting)
  5. Short walk (They will ask you to walk to and fro just to see your posture and confidence.)
  6. 1-to-1 interview (They will ask you varying questions and to read a short passage on cabin crew announcement in English with preparation time of 1min)

After that, they told me I could go home and thanked me for my time. It was really heart-breaking after been through so many rounds, I told I might have a chance to make it to management round and probably getting the job. Feeling a little unconvinced, I came back to MI’s interview on the month to re-try and this time, I didn’t make it pass the group interview.

In early September, SQ finally had another interview again, this time I went without any hopes but to try my luck and guess what, I failed again as usual not being able to pass the group interview. (The question this time was, What is the one item that you have to bring when you travel excluding the must-brings?) There were 2 out of 10 of us make it and their answer was his stinky pillow and a book. There was also another guy who also mentioned his stinky pillow but he did not make it pass, so I guess it really depends on your luck.

Just when I was about to lose hope for my cabin crew dream once again, JQ replied me. I was astonished!!! It was JQ and not 3K which means layovers in more international destinations and not just Asia countries with mostly turnovers! OMG! And yes, I will be mostly away in Singapore since it was an Australia-owned company which is what I hoped for. Applying for JQ was easy as I just had to send my resume to their website and wait for their response, it took several months before they finally responded and invited me to their office in Changi Airport for an interview.

The interview was short and brief, I had to fill up an employment form and then do an arm reach test which I missed it by a few cm, but they still passed me. Then it was a 2-to-1 interview with either the HR or senior cabin crew or the cabin crew trainer. The first thing they looked at was your highest certificate qualifications, they were very particular about it. I’ve got a Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism and they were impressed with my O’levels results, so it was a breeze for me during the interview as they only ask me one question, “What is your job scope for your current job”.

After which, it was more like a briefing as they told me the cabin crew salary range which was around 2.2k gross on average and that there will be 2 weeks of training in Australia and only 10 days a month that I will be in Singapore. They also asked me if I could swim without a life-jacket as apparently it’s Australia’s aviation rule that all flying crews need to be able to swim without assistance. So yes, I can’t swim but I told them I could, but barely. (I was thinking of going for a quick swimming lesson…)

I made it and got a called from them that the next round of interview would be the coming Saturday with a swim test. I panicked because that day I had work and it was too rush for me to find a swimming lesson in just 5 days. Eventually, I made a really heart-breaking decision to reject this wondrous offer that had high chances of me earning my wings. It was really devastating for me because after all the countless being kick-out from not making pass the interviews, my vision was blur and that I don’t even know what my future would be like if I don’t earn my wings soon.

I don’t want to be end up working a hotel ever again because being stuck in a building not knowing when is daylight or nighttime, it feels miserable. The pay is low, even lower than what budget airlines are offering and doing something that I don’t like for the rest of my life is just miserable.

ANDDD, on the late September when I thought there was no more hopes for me,

SCOOT FINALLY SEND ME AN INVITATION TO THE INTERVIEW!!!

(Shingzzzz, I can see gold rays finally shining on me! HAHA)

Ok, so after my previous May interview with Scoot, I deleted my account and recreated one in August and resend my application again and then, they send me a link to do the five quizzes as usual and then the 3 interview online questions recording, I didn’t manage to do well for the recording and was a little lost for words… so I thought it was hopeless already.

The interview this time was at their Scoot office and not the previous William Angliss Institute and this time there was no interns, it was just plainly people around my age or working adults, like all other cabin crew interviews. Ok, I’m going to post a separate detailed post about Scoot’s interview stages and process in another post but anyway, I GOT THE JOB! (Ok maybe not, I’ve yet to pass my medical check and that 2 long months of training. So not officially gotten my wings…but still, YEAHHH! No more cabin crew interviews for me!)

img_0638_%e5%89%af%e6%9c%ac

(This was the photo that I submitted for Scoot’s application for the full-length photo! Previously, I submitted a formal full-length photo, but this time I just wanted to make it fun but sending this informal one! HAHA :P)

Well, I’m happy and thrilled that my cabin crew interviews journey has finally come to an end and I will be embarking on another new chapter of my flying life soon, hopefully. I guess what the movie-View From The Top, Donna said was right, “Never let anything get in the way of your destiny.” If you want to fly, you’ll work hard for it and try even harder, failures are just part of the process, some people get it in one try, some people get it several times later. You will eventually, if you do not give up. I’ve got it on my tenth time and yes, I’ve heard so much about people getting their wings after their 9th or 10th tries which I initially doubted their stories, and finally I realized that yes, it does happens. Perseverance is also another way to reach your dreams and to sum this chapter of my journey up, here’s my cabin crew interview timeline:

September

September’s here. How fast.

In the last month, I attended my very last pole class at Pole Dance Academy Singapore before it’s closure and I was really sad because I love that studio to bits. It was cosy and those spotlights hitting on the brass pole had this dancing on the stage effect, which made it extra glamorous. Not to forget the lovely and bubbly teacher—Salmah, it’s been 8 weeks since my re-visit to pole-dancing again since I chipped my elbow. I’ve healed fast and gain my strength back with Salmah’s conditioning and her encouragements.

So, the next chapter of my pole journey was, should I continue with brass poles? Or perhaps head back to chrome pole which is what I am practicing with at home…

I thought of going to TheBrassBarre, I love their sexy and fun vibes and pole dancing genre but then again, brass poles, I know I would struggle finding good gripe especially when I’ve got sweaty palms. GOSH.

And eventually, I landed myself at Polelab. It’s a cosy studio on the 2nd floor in a shophouse, similar to Pole Dance Academy, although it’s only half the size… but still of the 9 poles, 2 poles were 40mm brass and the rest were the usual chrome. I was pretty much contented since I’m given the choice to choose whichever type of pole I felt like using that day. The classes were probably the cheapest amongst all the other pole studios in Singapore, at 8x 1.5hour classes for $180. But guess what, the deciding factor was actually the teacher!

She’s Leron, and she was my first ever pole teacher even though it was just for a day. Before I started my pole journey, I attended my very first pole trial and was introduced to pole dancing by Leron back then when she was still teaching at Acro Polates, yes the one that is owned by Suzie Ming. She was a good teacher although she always has this serious looking face, I love how she breaks down the steps and counts the steps for me slowly.

I don’t know how long I might stay with Polelab, as I do miss my teachers from Pole Dance Academy and I’m just waiting to see where Salmah might teach in the future so that I could join her class, meanwhile, I shall still with Polelab to keep my pole sparks alive.

Happy September guys! 😀

I’m a cabin crew wannabe

Ever since I was in secondary school, and watched this movie called “View From The Top” which talked about this girl called Donna who came from a small town  where no one believes that she could do something big, but she believed that she was meant to be up in the skies and she took actions and made her dreams came true, by flying for the most prestigious airline, with her quote “Don’t let anything get into your destiny.”

I’ve became really motivated ever since and found my life goal, to become a cabin crew. That plot totally depicts my background and similarly, I’ve always enjoyed travelling and serving people, and someday I do wished that I could become the “waitress in the air”. I know it’s not a really cool job to be, but the perks of travelling is more than what I can ask for.

However, one of the worst thing that could happen is that, my height happens to be on the sitting on the borders (I’m 160cm tall) as the cabin crew minimum height requirement is 158cm or 160cm for non-asian airlines OR most main carriers, they have this arm reach test of 208-212cm which they will do a marking with a sticker, and you have to touch, COMPLETELY TOUCH the marking before they pass you. Saddest thing, I’ve got short arms, even though I may be on tip toes, I simply barely touch the mark or sometimes can’t and the judges would not pass me no matter how hard I try. GEEZSH~

So, in the month of MAY, I’ve tried TR walk-in interview at Pan Pacific on a saturday morning, and I was extremely nervous that day and screwed up my interview during the second round-group interview after passing the written test. Honestly, budget airlines is my only hope because they do not have arm reach test unlike all the main carriers like SQ or CX.

On the next saturday after TR walk-in interview, I went for the SQ walk-in interview and I managed to pass the group interview this time round but I failed the ARM REACH TEST even though my height passed!!! I guess either the mark was too high or simply I had short arms! FML!!! I was super depressed and disappointed after that and for the whole day I felt like my dreams collapsed on me and the truth was simply too harsh to be accepted. Like I spend so much effort from earning lots of money to get braces and get my teeth fixed, spend lots of money again to get my eczema treated, and even studied my hospitality and tourism diploma just for the sake of boosting my chances of becoming a cabin crew. AND all I have done, was in vain… 😦

And surprisingly on two days later after the SQ interview, I received an invitation email from Scoot for interview! GEESH, I was thrilled and Scoot’s interview was probably one of airlines that I managed to passed the most rounds from the initial online application, to invitation to complete the popular 5 online quizzes that test on your mathematical skills, logical thinking, critical thinking, personality and your knowledge on cabin crew job scope and the online webcam recording interview to finally making it to the actual interview, passing through the extremely difficult test in 15mins, the height measurement and skin check (I passed it amazingly with my birthmark!) and then to the group interview, which I failed because I was sick that day and had a really bad cough, I couldn’t and wasn’t able to focus or participate. Disappointed, I should have take care of my health or maybe I wasn’t fated. The moment where you get send home from the airline after failing the round of interview, it’s really really depressing like you did so much to finally make it through to that particular stage and then they tell you I’m sorry, it’s simply too harsh.

So after Scoot’s interview, I took a two weeks break and surprisingly I received CX interview invitation to their office, which was at Changi Airport, super duper far!!! But the plus point is that there wasn’t any queue at all nor having to wait a long time for passing a certain round. CX interview was just super direct, like a normal job interview, instant application, one-to-one and the height and arm reach test which I failed because my left arm was too short to touch the mark. WHAT IS THISSS!?

Anyway, enough of procrastinating, I’m trying not think so much of all the failures that I’ve been through. 4 failed airlines interviews in just a month, it’s really too much for me to handle especially when I had to sacrifice my job to attend the interviews. Is this sacrifice really worth it? I don’t know, especially with that interest piling up on my loan, I don’t know if I’m making the right choice. Dreams and money, I chose my dreams, and I really hope that things will turn out right. From a wannabe to a try-hard, I don’t know when will I ever make it and be flying in the skies someday, or maybe never in my life.

OH WELLS …

But on the bright side, I’m still going to try again and again for any available opportunities until my savings starts running out, then I’ll really give up on my cabin crew dream… NAHHH, I hope this won’t happen at all! Stay positive and like what Donna said, “Dont’ let anything get in the way of your destiny.” Work harder and dream big! 加油!:D

French Soufflé from Miam Miam

Behold your senses and keep your mouth closed before they start to drool, presenting you Soufflé!!!

IMG_1806

It was a catching up session with Siru the other day and we had our usual lunch at Keisuke Ramen in Orchid Hotel, Tanjong Pagar and after which we decided to have Brother Bird for the delicious mochi donut with soft serve in Bugis, and so we took a train down… and walked some distance in the hot and humid weather. And to our disappointment they were closeddd! DAMN…

So we ended up having to choose between Miam Miam and Llao Llao, and since both of us hadn’t tried Miam Miam, we decided to step into the place. The interior was open concept and beautiful decorated to dark wood furnishing, black metal frames, cosy cushioned seats and lights, feels alittle french-inspired.

We took quite awhile to decide what to have between the deliciously looking french toast and the gorgeous elegant soufflé and yes, we both ended up ordering 2 soufflés, one in vanilla the orginal flavor ($9.80++) and the other in matcha ($11.80++).

The wait was about 30mins and so we ordered each ourselves a iced matcha (top up $1.50++) and a good hearty chat about usual, work, studies and future.

IMG_1807

My Verdict: The soufflés were indeed rich and creamy but at the same time light and fluffy, I love the crispy top layer of the shell. It’s my first time trying such a dessert but honestly, I probably wouldn’t return for the second time. I don’t really find myself paying for such an exquisite yet petite dessert unless they are well, cakes. Well, you could always give it a try but keep your expectations low, and I’m probably someone fails to appreciate it.

7-11: Butter Chicken Briyani Review

Do you guys realize that SG’s 7-Eleven has finally up its game with its pre-packed food on the shelves?

It used to sell pre-packed food but nobody actually pretty much take a good look about it because it was either NOT NICE or too expensive… BUT NOW, everyone seems to be raving over their Butter Chicken Briyani and because it sounded so good, I decided to give it a shot too!

IMG_1273

(FIRST up, sorry guys, great apologies for the disgusting look on the photo, I accidentally kind of spill the gravy while carrying it on the way home as I did not had microwave at home so I heated up in the 7-Eleven and hence there was some holes between the plastic cover which I did not realize. 😦 )

Appearance wise, the rice definitely look fluffy and soft, definitely exceeded my expectations of hard and dry rice which are pretty much how pre-packed rice would be like. Unlike what’s is photographed on the cover, it does not have any onions, just butter briyani on one side and the other, the long grain rice.

IMG_1274

The gravy was good in consistency, pretty thick as I was expecting it to be really runny. Hahaha. There’s plenty of chicken chunks in it, they were cooked till really soft and tender, probably like how simmered chicken meat taste like. The meat still holds well together, without falling apart with a bite but I wish it could have been more chewy though. Of course, the gravy and the rice just goes simply so well together and I even cut some cucumber cubes to go along with it.

My Verdict?

Yes, you should totally give it a try!! Skip those unhealthy instant noodles, this is totally worth the hype for just $3.90 probably a 10cent cheaper than your regular zi-char takeaway. 😀

Felicia’s Birthday

This is probably the first time I’m celebrating Felicia’s birthday together although I have probably known her for nearly 2 years, where the last one she celebrated with her bf. This year, we celebrated on the 1st of April (2days before her actual) which happens to be April Fools Day and thank god the girls didn’t had any tricks and mischief up on their sleeves, else I will be really pissed. :/

The plan was to have just a simple dinner together and probably some drinks thereafter and because Felicia didn’t like sweet stuff, we didn’t get her a cake. So, I decided to get her a small bouquet of blue roses which I ordered and had to picked it up after physio that day, and traveled from like TTSH all the way to Seng Kang which was quite far a distance before heading to Holland V. (I know I’m un-employed, so I can’t really afford any huge bouquet, just something small to mark my sincerity as I knew she always mentioned how as a girl, she has never received flowers from any guys, so I shall be the first to do so then.) 🙂

IMG_1211

(Blue is her favourite color…)

Anyway, before that night, I spend my entire evening and night making a card for her which I saw on one of the facebook videos that someone shared. It just happened to be so timely and I just learnt and picked it up in no time!

It’s not really very pretty in terms of the colors combo as I did it last minute and didn’t plan the colors but it’s a really good effort for my first attempt on such a card!

We had burgers at FatBoys since Felicia suggested it as it would suit everyone’s taste because Yunteng had kinda alot of food that she avoid so Fatboys would probably be a good option.

IMG_1223

After dinner, we had some drinks at a random ktv pub in Holland V called King’s. The girls didn’t really stayed for long because Yunteng had to head home early to send her parents off and Siru had project to be done the next day, well as for me, I didn’t wanted to be the lightbulb for Felicia and Linc so I left with Siru.

(Sorry Felicia, for leaving early although I promised to drink together on your birthday!)

(Ps, I know the photo quality sucks because the lighting was terrible.)

IMG_1224

Happy Birthday Felicia! ❤

Thanks for being a good friend, someone who is spontaneous, fun and full of laughter. 😀

I need some rainbows in my life…

12th Day of 2016: Not in the best mood, grumpy and moody, I guess menses gonna come soon or am I alcohol deprived again. Whichever reason it may be, I can’t help thinking and pondering when will my life ever get better. I need those words of encouragement, someone to praise me, someone to motivate me, someone to push me, to do what I want and to applaud me for doing things right. I’ve changed but the results… it’s still the same. WHY?

Ended work today, and rush off quickly from workplace, took the bus and was stoning while looking outside from the bus window…and decided to drop by this cafe near my place. It had been opened for quite awhile now, but couldn’t find a reason or company to go with, finally I had the chance. It’s called Rainbow Cottage Cafe, they sell lovely rainbow cakes and cheesecake and handmade ice-cream with interesting flavors. I got myself a slice of rainbow cheesecake (S$7.50) and a iced green tea latte (S$6.00). They were served in interesting glass mug and that wooden pizza plank.

IMG_9882

The rainbow cheesecake is basically just cheesecake added with gel coloring. They look pretty, but taste like ordinary cheesecake. This cheesecake was rich in flavor but light and the crust was made of Lotus cookies (I’m sure you guys know that delicious cookie:) ) instead of the usual graham crust.

IMG_9894

IMG_9889

The iced green tea latte took quite awhile to arrive. Honestly, the green tea was not strong enough. Needless to mention anymore, STARBUCKS still WINS!

IMG_9879

Menu prices are pretty affordable than many other popular cafes and item prices are nett price which is really pocket-friendly. I guess I’ll visit again to try out those ice-cream. The flavors looked pretty interesting to me.

I can’t believe I went to a cafe alone again.

I guess there will be more to come.

I should be stop grumbling. xo

Unveiling my pole videos!

I know it’s gonna be a really big and bold decision to unveil all my pole videos to you guys. I know I might gain criticism, jokes or being laugh about. It’s ok. It’s my learning journey and I think I’ve improved really a lot from an absolutely weak and frail two left feet to the current girl who can do an invert. I’m proud of my achievement and I think I can do better.

My Meipai Pole Channel

(Just click on the link…)

I’m using Meipai to upload my snippets of my pole videos and practices and the just-for-laugh videos because it’s really easy to upload via the app on my phone and I love how I could edit my videos easily, like adding filters or songs, cutting and trimming.

And if you guys are always wondering why do pole girls wear so little?

We wear little not because we want to look sexy or seductive or to attract those unwanted sexual attention. We need the skin contact for grips and friction so that we won’t fall from the pole. Our waist, our inner thighs, our armpits and many other parts provide grips for various different moves and as we advance along, the tricks gets harder, so does our attire, gets shorter. Haha x

Staycation: Peninsula Excelsior Hotel

It was October and it’s gonna be Siru’s 21st and so we decided go on a staycation so that we could have some girl’s time and a place to surprise her! With a budget of $200, we went ahead and book this affordable Peninsula Excelsior Hotel, which was located in City Hall (3mins walk from MRT) and walkable to distance to Clarke Quay or Timbre. 😀

IMG_7633

Checked in around 3plus as I was late and managed to get the Excelsior Tower which was slightly nicer furnished that the Peninsula Tower.

IMG_7635

Then, putting down all the stuffs and my bag, I took the bus to Somerset area to pick up the matcha 1/2 kg cake that I ordered before heading back to the hotel to get the decos done. Thankfully, I manage to get Felicia’s help when she came around 4plus and we got subway and ate while we decorated the room.

IMG_7725

Ok, I gotta confess that I brought like 8 balloons and I burst 5 of them while blowing the balloons. This is such an embarrassment. HAHA, but anyway, the decor still turn out well! WOOHOO~~

It’s was just a very simple celebration for her with a not-so-fancy cake, La Terre White Zinfandel and Barcardi Strawberry Daiquiri and some domino pizzas for the 4 of us.

IMG_4356

HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY my dearest SIRU! ❤

I hope you’ll start adulthood with a bang, and may your wishes come true and 祝你早日找到你的如意郎君,让你不用再羡慕别人的爱情道路了。:P

(Please don’t kill me if you ever read this, because I truly meant it from the bottom of my heart 😀 )

IMG_4357IMG_4362IMG_4361IMG_4359IMG_4360

Cheers to adulthood! The youngest among us, Siru, finally turned 21! 😀

Birthday Cake Review: I got this matcha cake from Tripleone Somerset, it was just a small little baking shop that does only online orders. I can’t remember the name but the cake is good, I have to admit. The baker was generous on its matcha powder and there were little azuki beans in the cream if you could spot which was nice but I wasn’t a fan of azuki beans. HAHA. But the girls love it anyway! ❤

After which, we decided to head down for a night swim or rather should I say chill? Because Siru and I couldn’t swim and Felicia did not bring any swimsuit haha.

Thanks Felicia for taking the photos for us. But oh wells, I’ve been teaching the girls for a synchronized pose but it failed badly. 😦

The night lighting at the pool was pretty bad as well to take a really nice photo so we didn’t stay in the pool for long. We went back to the room to get dressed and headed out to Clarke Quay to get some drinks and ended up at Crew Room, Felicia and mine former workplace.

Later at night, Siru was complaining she was tired and sleepy so she went back to the hotel alone after we send Felicia off to the cab because she had a curfew. Yunteng and I went for a walk along the river and spend some time catching up as I hadn’t had time to meet because I was so caught up with work at Bikini Bar.

IMG_7671

After heading back to the hotel, I went straight to the bathtub and prepared some super nice bubbly bath!

IMG_7822

I know I’m an absolute sucker for bathtubs and bubble baths because I spend like nearly an hour in the tub! Because, nothing beats better than a hot tub filled with thick bubbles and some sweet wine to go along! (Ok, minus the alcohol part because I drank quite a fair bit already…)

The bathroom was a cluttered mess but still thanks Yunteng for the photos because I’m always a happy girl when there’s bubble baths! ❤

IMG_7697

IMG_7702

Before we checked out, I went back to the pool to get some day time shots. I love how the pool has this glass panels for those who could swim and dive, you could really get some cool underwater photos which I couldn’t.

Till next time.. 😛

Mambo + Bikini Bar

Ok, gotta rewind a little, back to September, after that hectic F1 period and braving the hazy conditions with Indonesia’s illegal forest fires causing the air to be packed with pollutants, I managed to have a day out suntanning in Sentosa with Yunteng at my new favourite chill out spots, Mambo Beach Club and then bringing her to my workplace, Bikini Bar.

Previously I’ve been heading to Mambo alone on my own, during my off days to chill with my book. Sometimes it gets pretty boring to find no one to talk to. But then again it’s pretty relaxing as well. A day just for myself doing nothing and chilling, looking at people and emptying my thoughts.

IMG_6224

IMG_6226

IMG_6238

Days when there’s just me, my book and the beach.

IMG_6716

 IMG_6717

And I even revisited this place, The most Southern Point of Singapore at Palawan Beach.

IMG_6730

So here’s the drinks menu if anyone is interested.

The reason why I visited bars in Sentosa for drinks is because I get 15% discount due to my Island Partner Card (staff benefit for working in Sentosa hurhur, and I get free unlimited monorail entries.)

IMG_7169

IMG_6243

We ordered the Mambo Sunset which is Mambo’s version of Tequila Sunset, which consist of vodka, blue curacao syrup, grenadine syrup and pineapple juice. This drink is so instagram-worthy because it’s nicely layered and looks like a rainbow cocktail which will make your day as cheery like the colors!

IMG_7170

I stirred my glass of cocktail and the colour changed…

IMG_7171

Tadaa, it became an eery and dull cocktail haha!

initpintu_副本1

Rainbow cocktails really brighten up the hazy afternoon!

IMG_7236

And a flying kiss from me…KIDDING xD

IMG_7235

Yunteng didn’t had lunch before she came, so she ordered beer batter seabass with salad and chips. Premium fish meat that they use for the fish & chip, they were GOOD!

initpintu_副本

Ok, so this is what happens when you have a friend who have to take photo of the food before eating, and there’s ME the one who can’t wait and have to pop a strand of crispy fries into my mouth! Haha 😀

IMG_7193

Subsequently, I was hungry and ordered this huge bowl of truffle fries and my favourite deep fried baby squid.

I have been addicted to squid lately and everywhere I go I need to have squid in my meal.

IMG_6724

And I ordered a Passion Fruit Caipirinha for myself.

IMG_6748

And a Sex on the Beach thereafter! This one was strong and I felt alittle happy tipsy after finishing this. OOPS!

IMG_7178

IMG_7179

After our meal, I went to suntan with a huge tummy, and we sat on the tanning chairs, chatting…

IMG_7249

IMG_7250

In the jacuzzi under the hot sun, it feels so warm and comfy!

IMG_7306

After the jacuzzi, we headed to the main pool! Yunteng didn’t bring her swimwear, what a waste!

IMG_7274

A mandatory poolside bar photo!

IMG_7283

And that’s me with my unkempt soaked hair.

IMG_7279 IMG_7290IMG_7287

The cabana is pretty relaxing actually, comfy cushioned seats to laid there and read a book!

IMG_7303

And she took this while I was trying to take a rest…

IMG_7300

After Mambo, we were at Bikini Bar!

IMG_7302

I ordered a Peach Margarita for myself and she had a Strawberry Margarita.

IMG_6790

But my favourite is still Lychee Margarita!

IMG_6749

And Bikini Bar’s calamari ring is still the best! Crispy and chewy, I totally love those hint of lemon zest amidst the batter! YUM

IMG_7319

To end our night, we went for the skyline luge attraction to end our day on a high note!

GUESS WHAT? Perks of working in Sentosa, and having Luge manager as the bar’s regular, complimentary luge tickets!

IMG_7320

Our first time on board the luge together!

IMG_7316

With our helmets on! HAHA

IMG_6760

I didn’t managed to take photos with Yunteng on the skyline ride because it was way too dark, so I shall make do with the one I took by myself when I went for the ride alone previously in the early evening.

IMG_6776

IMG_6777

It was a really awesome afternoon that day, and although I may have spend a little too much on drinks, but I guess it’s ok once in a long while to be doing so.

Shall end the post now, I’ll continue working harder to finish paying off my poly loan debt.

开心的时光总是不知不觉地过去了,我还是要会到平日努力挣钱了,加油韵!!!

Yun Teng’s 21st

[I know I haven’t been updating my blog for a nearly a month, mainly because I was busy with work at Bikini Bar and Buymeadrink app and also looking for new job. Also, I had a fall on the escalator and recently I injured my foot while doing a headstand without any mat against the wall (usually I use the pole for support…). Ok, maybe I did blog on my other private blog so I decided that I didn’t had extra time to update this one. Now, I’m backkk! I shall update all the overdue posts asap. Sorry >.< ]

Perhaps I haven’t introduce you guys to Yunteng, she’s also one of my secondary school classmates whom was really really close to me because she was the one that always disturb me in secondary school and oddly, her annoying actions actually drew us nearer to becoming good friends, mainly because she lives like 2 bustops away from me, so we’ll walk home together after school, ahhh…good old memories!

So, on 19th September, which was like during the F1 period (annoying road blocks…grr) she held a really fancy 21st birthday party at Kbox, with buffet spread for everyone and a 2 tier birthday cake from Pine’s Garden, you know that popular neighborhood cake shop which manage to gain fame and popularity with its Lychee Matini Cake and Blackforest Cake. Oh wells. Also, she even booked a suite in Furama Riverfront which was initially meant for the 21st celebration, but after a series of events, she changed to Kbox.

That particularly day, I was working morning shift and after which I requested to end early at 5pm and then made a dash to my staff locker to get change and made a dash to Marina Square, to get her a present. (In order to save time, I did not put make-up at all, so you should really make a mental preparation for my ghostly photos…)

IMG_7007

Her gorgeous 21st birthday day with Peach Melba on the top layer and my favourite Lychee Martini at the bottom tier. YUMZ!!!

IMG_6985

And also an open concept basin area with big lightbulbs at the mirror, feels so hollywood dressing table area isn’t it?

IMG_6990

The Chupitos Bar Review

Few friday nights ago, I was out for dinner as usual at my favourite ramen place, Keisuke Tonkotsu Four Seaons, the outlet at Bugis, with my usuals, winter ramen with ajitsuke tamago.

After which, we headed out to this place at Clarke Quay, Chupitos Bar, located near… I don’t know where (I know I am such a big sotong-head…I shall dig out the address…) ok, here’s the address: #01-05, Clarke Quay, 3B River Valley Road, The Chupitos Bar.

When the waitress handed out the menu to me, I was amazed by the list of and choices of shots available. There were like a huge range of variety! Some were extremely cool, like Captain America, Cotton Candy and of course there are those, specially catered to those naughty ones out there like Blowjob and Boobjob where they will serve in something very interesting (*wink*).

img-20140919-wa0005_副本

Look at the menu! That’s just part of it!

img-20140919-wa0006_副本

Crouching Tiger! I can’t remember the taste xD

img-20140919-wa0007_副本

My memory is getting from bad to worst, I can’t recall the name of this pair of shots, my bad!

img-20140919-wa0008_副本

Left: Scooby Snack! Attempting to be Scooby doo for the night, HAHA~ It kind of taste yummy but weird at the same time.

Right: Tequila Slammer, I think. The one that tasted so bad and the alcohol taste was absolutely strong!

Of course, I did tried their SIGNATURE- Paddle Pop Shots! (Pardon me, I was too excited over that shot that I didn’t snap any photos!) Taste wise, it was absolutely delicious, exactly the remake of paddle-pop ice-cream with a slight hint of alcohol taste but I doubt you could taste it anyway. It was sweet and milky and one shot is definitely not enough if you love paddle-pop ice-cream!

You should definitely, head there to try out their shots, or at least, try the paddle-pop shots, you’ll probably fall in love with it like how I am right now. Hahaha!

Bellabox (July Edition)

As you girls would have known, the cosmetic samples packed in a box and delivered right to your doorstep have been pretty popular recently, and Bellabox had aroused my curiousity…so, I’ve decided to take up a 3months subscription, with the first month June edition of Bellabox at $9.95 while on normal days, it will be at $19.95.

The thing about Bellabox is that these subscription boxes are delivered by Ta-q-Bin where they deliver right to your doorstep which can be convenient for some and non-convenient for some as these delivery timings are usually irregular despite the fact that you have chosen your preferred delivery time frame. Still, I managed to receive my Bellabox eventually.

bb1

There’s this month, July’s Bellabox!

bb2

Unboxing Bellabox!

This is the best part of receiving Bellabox because you won’t know what you would be receiving this month as each Bellabox version is different and you could receive items that are slightly different from what is as advertised. This could be something bad if the items that are advertised caught your eye and they aren’t included in the Bellabox, you’ve received. This was what happened when I received this month’s…

bb3

“La Petite Parisienne”– The theme for this month’s box.

p1060889_副本

Here’s what I received for this month!

I was kind of disappointed that I didn’t get to receive the lipstick and the eye pencil that was advertised!

p1060891_副本

A total of 8 samples which my box include mainly of masks and L’oreal Sulphate-Free Shampoo and Conditioner. Since they are in sample size the shampoo and conditioner would come in handy to be packed in my luggage at the end of my this month for travelling!

p1060893_副本

Nina Ricci perfume in sample size, what a tiny weeny sample of 5ml of perfume!

I have yet to try these samples as I’m kind of lazy to do reviews but I shall start soon before the next month Bellabox comes in and I would end up with too many reviews to be done…still, I guess I would cancel the subscription at the end of August because I’m kind of disappointed that the items in my Bellabox are slightly different from what the beauty bloggers receive as they seemed to be receiving better items than me. This did not just happen to me but to several people I have known as well. Oh wells x

Lola’s Cafe + Singapore Museum

This post is way overdue and should have been posted in May but I just didn’t had the time to transfer the photos from my phone to my laptop, pardon me!

Now, let’s turn back time to the day after my 20th birthday.

Siru decided to meet me to pass me by birthday present that she got for me in Hongkong which includes my favourite nail polishes (Yes! I’m a fanatic nail polish collector!) She made a reservation at Lola’s Cafe as I wanted to go there real badly since it was highly raved on many websites and Instagram, tempted by the food, I just wanted to get a taste of it myself personally.

01THE MENU!

02Something random that I snap while waiting for our food 🙂

03

Ms Chen’s blur face! GOTCHA x

(She’ll probably kill me for posting this, but it’s candid anyway, like what she always say… 🙂

04

I just love the background of the photo because of the reflections of the lights that looks like tiny stars.

07

*drumroll please*

Here’s our food!

05

My order: Mushroom Melt ($10 nett)

Simply loved the chunky mushrooms and cheese on the toast and fresh crisp salad! Loved it! ❤

06

Ms Chen’s order: Farmer’s Bratwurst Roll ($8 nett)

Really wished they could be more generous with the sauce for the frank though.

08

And she decides to snap lots of photo of her food despite me starting to eat my food already which afterwards she complain why her food was cold! ROFL~

09

There’s the lemon tart for dessert. I didn’t really like lemons so I didn’t really ate that…

Overall, I think that Lola’s Cafe is worth a visit and probably I will swing by there if I am free since the cafe food are in nett prices, it’s more worth it that visiting cafes with service charge and gst exclusive and then you have the sucky service, what’s the point of paying service charge right?

10

Guess where we headed to next?

Singapore Museum!!!

I’m not the kind of girl who really enjoyed visiting museum because they are really boring and dull in particular to the exhibit but since there was nothing else better to do after lunch, we decided to head there because the architecture of the Singapore Museum was beautifully British designed that reminds me of the colonial period in Singapore. Furthermore, lots of wedding couples would come by to take their photoshoots.

Just that day, we chanced upon 3 chinese couples and 1 muslim couple!

11

Before we went to the museum, we went to pick up Mr Froggy from Siru’s SMU locker…

12

Took some selfies with Siru’s phone!13 14

Now, you shall be prepared for a long stretched of photos that Siru took for me at the Museum! She didn’t brought her DSLR to help me take those photoshoots but with her phone, some of these photos came out prettily well. Or at least I was in love with the results!

PRESENTING…

SHI YUN

AS THE MODEL!

15

This was taken outdoors and we ended up sweating like mad for the weather was a killer that day!
16 17 18 20

I took this for Ms Chen and taught her how to pose, she’s such a fast learner!

19

The irony of this post, I tried to imitate those brides with their bouquet of roses but instead, I had a plushy in my hands! 😉

21

Totally forgot to introduce my outfit of the day!

Romper from blogshop (can’t remember the weird name):  $28/-

Sandals from Rubi: 2pairs for $30/-

22

Smiling awkwardly because it was a backyard of a bar and the waiters are there preparing for the opening.

23

“I wish you could always be there for me” x24

“All my life, I have been waiting… waiting for the prince to appear in his shiny armour…” kidding~
25

This is just candid because Siru insisted that there’s dust on the low column and made me check my white chiffon romper!

26

I’ve always loved spiral staircase and this one is one of the preserved staircase and feature of this museum, really love how old this staircase is, the intriguing design of the steel stairs despite Siru claiming that this staircase was haunted. :/

27“Smiles never fail to make one look pretty…” 😀
28
Mr Froggy, could you try standing by yourself?”29“Like a little girl”

30

I shall end this with a super duper blur photo of me with Mr Froggy! I really had a good time with Ms Chen and the photos that she took for me looked really pretty although I wouldn’t consider it to be a photoshoot session but it was just fun cracking our brains to do poses and working with the beautiful backgrounds.

What do you think of the photos?

I know some are really over-exposed, over-coloured, blablabla… 😦

My 20th Birthday x M Hotel Singapore Staycation !

May 18 has been a day that I have been looking forward to since I made a new group of friends this year and that they have been the most bubbly, cheerful and caring girls I have ever been with as a clique. However, because of grandma’s departure, 6 days before my birthday on the 12th, I had a total emotional breakdown, nothing in the world makes me happy and that every little thing in my life reminds me of her, I literally cried everyday and at least twice.

Image

The chinese-style funeral standard outfit that I had to wear.

White/Blue Pants : Grandchildren

White/Black Pants: Children

White/Green Pants: Great-Grandchildren

May 16th was the day grandma’s body was sent to the crematorium for cremation, that same day, was the day the girls booked the hotel room for me and we were supposed to be happily celebrating away, but I was not in any celebratory mood. Just that afternoon, I wonder how many times have I cried and that few days, I just binged and cried till my eyes were poofy and swollen. I know it’s that bad and the girls, being very caring, insisted that I should go for the surprise that they planned for me as it was their only way to cheer me up despite me wanting to give my 20th birthday celebration a miss.

Image

After the funeral, I had to pack up grandma’s room and assist them in cleaning up.

My younger sis made me took this photo though!

Around evening time, I packed my bag and headed to Tanjong Pagar to meet the girls. The hotel was located at some unknown location and it took me a long time to the extend the girls came over to pick me up.

Image

Glenda took a selfie while waiting for Karen and her guy friend, Casper.

Image

They blindfolded me and Glad led the way to the room!

The feeling of being blindfolded it’s quite scary, pitch darkness, yet you could hear voices and giggles, curious about the surroundings but as well as fear of what might happen such as banging on the wall or tripping over someone and falling down.

Image

Taddaa!

Everything that suits my taste, non-chocolate cake (that won’t stain my braces) and simply decorated pastel background with the pretty balloons! The lilac balloons are my fav! COZ IT’s PURPLE!

Image

I’m so thankful for the girls for trying their best to cheer me up and keeping me occupied awhile to prevent me from feeling sad and grieving over grandma’s death!

AND…

Spending effort to plan out this surprise for me! ❤

ImageImageImage

These polaroids were mine to keep! 🙂

Image

My birthday cake! 😀

Image

This was the next surprise that came in!

While we were getting changed and having our dinner, I picked up a call from the room phone and it appeared that it was Sharen! He called from his camp and asked his ex-colleague to direct the line to my room! What a pleasant surprise to hear his voice! He asked me how was the room and everything as he helped us to get late check-out and higher floor and then ask if I received anything from the in-room dining. I did not received anything at the moment when he called but after he hanged up, the door bell rang and the staff brought this brownie for me! Sharen had asked his night duty manager to deliver a birthday cake for me! I was totally surprised and totally did not expected it!

ImageImage

Image

My ootd for the night! 🙂

Image

Selfies in the lift, that had a huge full-length mirror!

Image

We forgot to take something from the room and went back to take, and selfie time again!

Image

You probably could guess where we are going this time from the outfit that we are wearing…

YES! We are going to Zoukkk!

It’s also Phuture Bulletproof’s 1st Anniversary, totally hyped!

Image

While waiting for Casper to buy the mixers since he brought a bottle of Bacardi, another selfie in the convenient stall!

Image

That’s Casper right beside Karen, he is her colleague.

Image

The 4 of us in Zouk!

Image

Warning: DO NOT JUDGE!

We didn’t really kissed but just posed for the fun of it!

Image

Okay, this time I did kissed Karen on the cheek, birthday girl, FREE KISSES on the cheek!

No, I’m kidding, exclusive for the 3 girls only and Siru, if she ever wants it!

Image

For the first time, none of the girls are drunk and we could take tonnes of photo in Zouk! It was AWESOME!

Image

The next morning, I woke up early, feeling sad and after sneaking to the toilet to sob, I felt super duper hungry and decided to head out of the hotel to get my favourite ramen, Keisuke Tonkatsu King Ramen at Orchid Hotel while the girls were sleeping away!

Image

Then, I took away some food for the girls and after lunch, we headed to the hotel’s pool for some suntanning and dipping in the pool and jacuzzi!

Dip, because the pool was simply too tiny for a swim.

Image

Selfies at the pool!

Image

Casper came by and helped us to take a photo! I hid behind because I hadn’t been exercising and that my tummy had appeared.

Most importantly, the tanlines I had, because they told me to take of my shorts and that I always wore this bikini pants for suntanning so now that I’m wearing a triangle bottom, the tanlines looks way too ugly and hilarious xD

Image

All my pretty girls! 😉

Image

Lucky us, a very good looking man walked past us while we were taking selfie and due to some unknown miscommunication, he thought we asked him to join us for a selfie!

But sure, he was good-looking!

Image

There’s all my pretty girls! And it pretty sums up the whole of my birthday and staycation at M Hotel Singapore.

Image

Collated all my birthday gifts from all of my friends from my 20th Birthday!

Image

Lastly, I shall end this post with my favourite polaroid amongst all!

Kudos to the smart me for initiating this pose and it turns out beautiful!

The birthday surprise have been pleasantly great and all my entire life, this is the first time ever was my birthday that well-planned by someone and that I did not had to planned my birthday for myself. Thank you so much and this is the best birthday I ever had. I know I wasn’t very cooperating in taking most photos since I was feeling quite down but I tried my best to be happy and smile so that the photos would turn out great.

Image

I was “forced” by Glenda to take this photo as I was super reluctant to take for I felt fat. (I put on some pounds and haven’t been exercising since grandma was hospitalized…)

The awkwardness, but I shall end this post here.

Happy 20th Birthday to me!

Shin Yuu Japanese Restaurant Review

June 1st was a joyous occasion as my 3rd uncle strike lottery and was treating us to a Japanese A La Carte Buffet at this restaurant in Bukit Timah, called Shin Yuu Japanese Restaurant.

This restaurant was set amidst a stretched of shophouses hidden amongst the countless bungalows and terraces in Bukit Timah, it wasn’t that accessible for commoners like us who doesn’t own a car as there are very few buses that reaches that area and that even if you alight at the nearest bustop, it would take you some time to reach that hidden “gold mine” (the stretch of good restaurants). Still, if you are someone who is slightly more adventurous, you might want to try out this place!

Enough of the talk about the restaurant so I shall present to you the photos!

dsc_1726_副本A wide spread of Japanese food! YUMMY!

Back to Shin Yuu restaurant, I think the service need some great improvement though, particularly in the staff, I really didn’t understand if the staff really did take down the order and ocassionally, they would miss out your order and you would realized that after waiting like half an hour for your food. I know it is a buffet, but since it’s a la carte, service should also be heavily emphasized on though. Oh well, the food was pretty good and if you are patient, you should really drop by and give it a try!

Cafe Hopping in Holland Village!

Yesterday, it was rather an impromptu decision to go with my bff for dinner since someone was quite busy that he has no time for me, which left my weekends plan empty. Thankfully, Siru was free to be able to meet me and I managed to convinced her to go cafe-hopping with me! Of course, I managed to get my cravings satisfied and took lots of pretty photos! I guess I can always count on her!

The first cafe we went for dinner was at D’ Good Cafe in Holland Village, it’s located extremely near to the MRT station and I managed to find it without any difficulty. Since it was a weekend, the cafe was slightly crowded and that the popular swing seats were hard to get, we wanted to sat there and we waited for quite some time but eventually got to hungry and decide to settle down in a corner. We ordered Eggs Benedict ($13.50) and Mushroom Quiche ($13.00) and Matcha Cream Frappe ($6.50). The cafe was self-serviced so we had to collect our food by ourselves and there was no GST or Service Charge! All food prices were in nett which means it’s quite affordable!

Image

ImageThe food was good especially the Eggs Benedict! I kind of regret ordering the Mushroom Quiche because it was too dry and I wasn’t really a fan of chips and I ended up eyeing on Siru’s food because they looked and taste so much more nicer than mine! The matcha cream frappe was delicious too! You should definitely give it a try!

ImageI think a best friend is someone who is willing to take selfies with you and makes you laugh…

ImageI Love this photo! ❤

The next cafe that we went was called Craft Bakery and Cafe, it was located opposite Häagen-Dazs. The decor of the cafe was very minimalist and simple, unlike D’Good Cafe there wasn’t really any spots for us to take more photos. We order the Original Molten Lava Cake ($9.50++) that came with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream. The food prices weren’t in nett so there was additional 10% service charge.

Image

ImageThe lava cake is chocolatey rich, warm, moist and soft. If you are a fan of chocolate, you would probably love it. The vanilla ice-cream wasn’t that great as the quality of the ice-cream was probably like those sold in supermarket, maybe they used Kings, Nestle or Walls vanilla ice-cream. If it was some homemade vanilla gelato, this plate of dessert would totally be heavenly.

ImageHere’s the menu for those who would be interested.

I had a great saturday night out at Holland Village with Siru and that we even had some heart-to-heart talk under the tree. I guess the funniest part would be kill, shag, marry questions that I post for Siru, seeing her reaction, it was just funny!

My New Friend- Pam!

Her name is Pamelia, and she is my new friend. I got to know her from Emrys, in Taiwan where she was Emrys’s buddy.

I don’t remember how we became closer, perhaps it was internship that brought us closer together, and of course, food like Swee Choon and ramen.

It happen that we had the same off day on a Sunday and we decided to go to the beach to suntan together! Pam was late as usual and I had to wait for her and while sitting at the sky park, it was my first time seeing a star cruise!

Image

ImageBeautiful sky, but there was no sun. It was raining and we had to hid under the shelter.

Image

ImageI took some selfies because it was so boring since there was no sun and we finished our food.

ImageImageI am so vain. Hahaha

ImageThis is Pam! It was fun taking crazy photos with her! Haha 😀

ImageWe took tonnes of photo that day! PHOTO SPAM TIME XD

I had alot of fun time with Pam that day even though during the period where we were suntanning while lying on the sand, many indians were trying to disturb us by sneakily trying to take photos of us. We were so angry we had to stood up and stare at them.

We had Fish n Co for dinner!

After which, we ended the whole day with a nice glass of beer!

That Newest Craziest Trend: Thigh Gaps!

Those beautiful cover girl in magazine, advertorials and even blogs, they are beautifully skinny, long legs, and own a thigh gap that everyone has been dreaming to achieve by trying means and ways to slim down, exercise and to minimise the fats on their thighs so that they can flaunt their thigh gap as well.

ImageTo me, I think that whether you have thigh gap or not, it doesn’t matters. Whether is it that you are fat or skinny, it doesnt matters as well.

I don’t see the point to slim down to look good to fit in or for that special someone you have eye-ing at for weeks. I think that as long as you aren’t overweight, your BMI doesn’t exceed that healthy range, you are perfectly average size looking and there is no need to be trying hard to lose weight, by not eating.

Being pretty does not mean it’s a must to look skinny, thin, bony. If you are pretty you are, it’s about those who know how to appreciate your beauty and those who don’t.

Of course, there are always still photo-editing apps to help you achieve that skinny looking figure you been dreaming of without really having to slim down! (That’s just a lie and this ain’t a decent method though!)

ImageAs for me, I do not have a thigh gap. Still, I won’t want to lose weight because I think that I’m very much contented with my body size and that even though many people said that I look fat, having flabby arms or thighs, I don’t really give a damn about it because they are just too overly obsessed with skinny looking girls and that I think that having some fats is what I feel to be pretty.
